Just last week I purchased 2 iPads for family members and was asked to set them up. Both had immediately obvious color tinting, namely dark yellow shading along the left-side of the display. There were also blotches of green tinting scattered about the screen.

Did you keep them?

Has this issue been resolved?

I bought mine online three weeks ago. I've been happy with the rather uneven screen until today when I had my first chance to look at other new ipads. Now I've seen that there are screens that are a uniform snowy white with good viewing angles I really can't keep my pinky green one. I'll be at the Apple store next week for a replacement.

For the people that have had issues is it more than the typical lcd variance? (not talking about the people with uneven colors on a single display).

For example I have three computer monitors on my desk. If I would have compared my ipad 3 against the factory settings on the HP27 it would have looked very yellow. On the Samsung 27 it would have looked green and on the Samsung 23 it would have looked very blue.

For what it is worth my ipad matched my iphone 4 which was the reference I used to calibrate my monitors prior to purchasing the ipad.

And you shouldn't , do not settle for anything less!
