As far as the Marvel properties go, I could be wrong, but I believe the right are non-transferable. I think that in the deal when Fox acquired the Marvel properties, in the case of a sale to another company, the rights revert to Marvel. if someone else knows for sure, say so. But I believe that is deal. So even if Comcast buys Fox, Marvel (Disney) gets back FF, Deadpool, X-men, etc...

What has this got to do with Apple?
Disney and Apple are intertwined, especially because of Pixar, it all relates.
[doublepost=1528931861][/doublepost]Honestly, while in the short term Disney's offer may seem lower, in the long run it will be substantially better than the all cash offer. Disney stocks are going to continue to rise as they build out their theme park businesses more, as Marvel continues to grow and it will grow, as Pixar continues to do well, so on and so forth. Meaning that in just a few years that stock will probably be worth $100 billion.

That is the part that Comcast isn't paying attention to here.

The cost of the acquisition will ultimately be passed on to consumers in the form of higher access fees and subscription prices. I am so glad I excommunicated Crapca$t from my home and use an OTA antenna and HDHomeRun tuner. I can watch and read it all from the sidelines.

I pray for the day 5G is available so I can scream from my rooftop for Comcast to go "comcast" themselves.

Apple is pretty much the biggest company on the planet and they do more good in the world than anyone. Greed is good.

Apple isn't the biggest company... but also, don't get too confident about the 'good' that Apple is doing. They may take a stand on a thing, here or there, whey they feel it is to their competitive advantage (or to virtue signal), but wait until 'doing the right thing' conflicts with profits, and then we'll see (ex: China).

Sad if Comcast gets Hulu and other parts of Fox I hope Disney gets all the Marvel movies and TV Shows especially ones on Hulu. Comcast is just going to **** every customer with ****** quality streaming and raise the prices for Hulu heck I love Hulu for the Anime since Anime has become for some reason hard to find this days in the U.S.

But how about internet? I cut the cord long ago, but the cost of internet just keeps going up and up to compensate.
It's almost cheaper to get cable back so I get the bundled tv/internet deal.

Which is pretty much the end-game here. To get you paying what you were paying pre cord cutting. Between paying an ISP and subscribing to streaming services to get back to a level of programming comparable to cable/sat, you're getting close to even money.

The benefit of cord cutting is realized when you ween yourself and your family off of all the BS.

There are exceptions, sure. Different use cases and scenarios. But I believe none of them involve cutting the cord and replacing everything it carried wholesale.

All these terrible companies buying each other feels like last gasps of desperation trying to remain relevant, two decades after they decided to fight the internet instead of finding a way to use it to their advantage.

Ideally they squeeze Netflix out of the bandwidth game, forcing Netflix to cozy up to elon musk and launch their own satellite network, providing ample streaming and high speed mobile internet at a reasonable cost.

Die harder, cable companies.

Now they are going to charge you extra just to use the services they just bought for billions! :p

Go home, Comcast. Nobody wants you to buy Fox.

That's why I think Disney is going to up their offer. They have so much invested in Star Wars right now, and would benefit from owning the original three movies. Then again, if they can find a way to get the movies without buying Fox, they might go that route.

Disney already owns The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The only one that Fox still owns is A New Hope.

I'd take Disney stock over Comcast cash any day of the week if I was on the Board. Could be SO much more valuable even in just the short-term future.
As an investor why wouldn’t I take the cash and use it to buy some Disney shares if I follow your sentiment?
Cash gives a lot of options and certainty. Disney stock could fluctuate.

I'm not the side that wants Comcast to go away. Mainly because I'm on the side that wants Marvel's movie IP rights for Deadpool, Fantastic Four, Mutants, and X-Men (and whatever else 21CF owns from Marvel) back to Marvel. I understand very few people care, so this is just selfish on my end, but anyway.

Disney owns Marvel and wanting those rights to go back to Marvel is exactly why most here want Comcast to go screw small spiders... Your comment seems confused..?

No idea, although I do hope that is not just wishful thinking..

Disney should just buy Comca$h and then shut them down.

But back in the real world, yeah, I don't want Comca$h to own anything. At least with Disney, the Marvel universe would be our consolation prize.

Things like this make me really dislike America... I really do hope that Disney does loose the assets. You think I want to pay for another streaming service from Disney when these mofo's are arguing over 65 billion & I ain't got 65 cents lol.

"Dislike America" ????
