I take that back, Theatre of Magic just edges out Medieval Madness for me. Very much looking forward to this being added to Arcade now

Apple Arcade recently surpassed over 200 games available on the subscription-based gaming service, and Apple today previewed two additional titles coming soon. Apple did not provide a specific release date for either game.

Zookeeper World

"Zookeeper World" from Kiterestu is a new installment in the "Zookeeper" action puzzle game series that will be available exclusively on Apple Arcade. Players will face a variety of challenging match-3 puzzles and collect coins while placing animals, equipment, and plants to increase the zoo's charm to attract more visitors. Players will be able to expand and customize their zoo, upgrade their animals to be unique, and more.

"Zen Pinball Party" from Zen Studios is a pinball game that will feature table designs inspired by DreamWorks Animation and Hasbro brands. Players will challenge their friends and family for the highest score on tables featuring Trolls, Kung-Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, MY LITTLE PONY, Theatre of Magic, Attack from Mars, and more.

In addition, Apple Arcade roleplaying game "Fantasian" from Mistwalker will be receiving a "Part 2" update on Friday. Apple says the latter half of the saga will feature a more quest-driven style of gameplay that can take anywhere between 40 to 60 hours for players to experience. The game was written by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.

They missed one of the best pinball machines out there Bally: 8 Ball Deluxe

I’d be willing to bet all the Bally Williams games will be coming over time. For Zen, it may even end up being a better deal for them than the game they’re currently selling IAP for, especially if there’s lots of engagement with their tables.

I played it a bit yesterday. The ball physics are still off, except that now the ball occasionally pauses or slightly changes direction. It's very brief, but definitely noticeable, especially because it recurs fairly regularly during gameplay.

The Trolls and MLP tables are both pretty basic, but that may be because they're geared toward younger kids. Unfortunately, they also tied tournament and play credits to those tables, so you'll end up having to play them anyway.

When I fired up Attack from Mars, I was surprised at how flat some of the graphics are compared to what they look like in Williams Pinball and Pinball Arcade. Those parts are animated during some parts of play, but that doesn't really explain why they opted not to render them with full textures.

Yeah, I could tell that the flow for Trolls and MLP are for “swooping” play that focuses on the “fun” part of pinball where the ball has a high likelihood to go somewhere instead of being bounced right back to you. I noticed the graphics for Medieval Madness were different, too. The ramps were far more opaque than in the Williams collection. I haven’t seen an actual machine in awhile, so I don’t know if it was because that’s how it actually looks and, with the ball highlight thing, you’re less likely to lose it.

I also noticed the occasional pauses, but figured it was just me. Hopefully that’s a thing to be fixed.

For Medieval Madness it's clear that the ball physics are either off, or the table is way more level than it is in most real life configurations. It's definitely prioritising "fun" over "realism" which is fine, but I wish there was an option to configure real world tables with real world settings and slopes.

I did three star that table the first time I played it. :) I was thinking it was from my experience with the Williams collection version of the table, but could be just easier. Potentially, the good thing is that I believe continual engagement is good for games on Apple Arcade, so adding features is the name of the game. More fun physics now for a wide number of folks, more accurate physics to drive engagement in the future?

I finally took advantage of 3 months free trial of Apple Arcade on Xmas Day (final day before I could take advantage of the trial). I'll cancel it before March 24th.

I saw the Zen pinball which I had on my iPhone years ago, iPhone 4, or 5...and figured I'd give it a shot again. Not bad, Lot of tables to choose from. Few of the tables are a bit cluttered, lot of music and narration happening and it does make it hard to see the ball at times. (The Garfield, and eh, My Little Pony ...whoa, the narration I have to shut off!! It's a bit annoying! ??)

These games after 10-15 min do warm up my 13 Pro Max, battery drops fast & battery temp went up to 103º-104º (usually its 75-79º)

Whatever, the games will be nice little time killers for the next 3 months AND AD FREE!

BEST part about subscriptions via Apple, you can cancel NOW! :) Your service will still run the three months and deactivate even if you forget. If you decide you want to play and, oops, it’s lapsed, it’s a quick minute to pay for another month and, RIGHT after you pay, cancel again!

There are certain subscription apps that I only need a few times a year, so I pay for them when I use them, cancel immediately, and never have to worry about it :)

Yeah, I would do this with Apple Music (6 month trial, then I had a 3 month promo through Target a few months ago, I could cancel a day later and it continue and just expire at the end of the trial period.

Apple TV, that trial prompted me if I cancel now, I'd lose it immediately, looks like the same goes with Apple Arcade.

No big deal, I set a calendar reminder on my phone a few days before it expires, I end up cancelling. :)

OH!! That IS different! Now that I think of it, I had tried it for OTHER company’s free trials, but not Apple’s.
