    HI everyone.
    I have an iPhone 3GS.
Now, i tried updating it when plugging it into iTunes. I think it was version 5.2.1.
Now, the update failed, and it told me to restore my iphone.

But also the restoration failed. Now i cannot charge the iPhone, start the iPhone or anything at all.

Has any of you experienced the same thing? And is this fixable?

    Thanks

    The latest firmware is 5.1.1
Unless its an iPhone 3G and the latest for that is 4.2.1

Has it been hacked in any way? Jailbroken? What prompted you to restore/upgrade the phone?

My iPhone was not jailbroken. Just all standard. I synced it with iTunes (which i rarely do) and saw that there was an update. I'm pretty sure it said 5.2.1, but i might be wrong. But i simply updated it because it said it needed one, and it basically went wrong from there

Ok try this then: DFU Mode Steps

Then try again restoring your phone.

Plug it to the wall, it will charge until 5%... more than enough for it to kick into DFU

    Then you won't get far.
Bring it to Apple to get it replaced.
If its under waranty it's free if not $149.
