why isn't the new siri logo dicussed yet? The new siri logo looks like a homebutton with the siri visuals in it. That immediately came to me as i saw the new siri logo.

Also when in Ios 11 using siri, the coloured moving stripes change into a bubble that perfectly fit the inner ring of the home button.

Did anyone else notice this ?
I've been thinking about this since you posted and the more I see images of the iOS 11 update the more I'm convinced this is exactly what they're doing ;)

I thought everyone had the same idea about this. The Siri swirling logo will also be the "Virtual" home button.

but you don't want it always there - whats the point of having no bezels if Apple just use up that space as an ios 'touch bar' and reserve it for system functions.

If they're giving us a 5.8' screen I want as much of that to be usable by apps.

The 4.7" 7S and 5.5" 7S+ will likely be simple iterative revisions of the 7 and 7+. Apple isn't going to do a major redesign to their lower tier phones which would take away from the hype surrounding the 8. You'll see the new processor in those phones but otherwise they will probably be indistinguishable from the current models.
So essentially not worth buying then...

I don't believe it will always be there, only on the home screen.

Additionally, I don't buy this whole screen loss due to a "function area" within the app, they will need to come up with a new solution for app switching and exit to the home screen, which I'd imagine they already have and are testing in house.
