Sonny says ----

I was emailed by Sonny when I inquired about how to order since I had missed the Kickstarter and he let me know that they are currently in production and would be shipping orders beginning early November...

Hope its sooner but at least no later than that.

Has anyone received their AiryBody yet? I ordered mine a month ago but no e-mail or tracking and I was already charged twice actually, the second a small amount to cover international conversion.

Cool beans. Thanks!

Is anyone else a little disappointed with how the airybody looks? I feel like it is a departure from the minimalism that makes the 6 so attractive.

The only thing that I don't like about the Airybody is it's too thick, especially the back. Also I just placed a pre-order for the Devil case for my 6plus, should ship out by Nov. 17.

Canaloo interfered with my signal. Only was an issue at the edge of my wifi area at home. With it on, connected but wouldn't load pages. Removed and fine. Repeated to make sure.

Guess I should have expected this with an aluminum case...

I always liked the Vapor 4 by Element Case. I wish they made one for the 6+

Looks like Draco Design is similar, but no 6+ yet

I LOVE how it has an open spot for the SIM card! Most cases do not and it drives me nuts! I wish LifeProof would do this, then I really wouldn't have to take the case off (as much as I like a naked iPhone though! :p)

it depends, as long as you are getting some bars means you signal level is getting higher. low db means higher signal. but that 3db loss is quite huge..

The LTE signal strength is not measured in dB like WCDMA, and CDMA on iPhone IIRC. I thought the same thing but its not. I believe more accurate measuremeant would be to add 10-13 from those numbers and then you'll get dB so -100 would really be -87. I feel bad for not quoting a source but I'll try and find one if requested. I looked it up since I'm always at -102 to -105 at my home and even on a good signal (I'm talking LOS of the cell base station and sitting maybe 100 meters in front of the main beam) I never see higher than say -79 where as with WCDMA I never see higher than -60ish so its pretty accurate. I'd try and compare signal strengths with my spectrum analyzer but that can never be truly an apples to apple comparison.

Airybody in the mail ---

Just got an email from Thomy at Airybody that my order is on it's way as of yesterday from Taiwan...

Cool beans. Thanks!

----------

The jury is still out since I am still waiting for it to be delivered but I'm impressed with the sculptural quality and solid form of the bumper I ordered from them. In it's essence the Airybody bumper I ordered is pretty minimal and I think on my silver 128 GB 6 Plus it will complement the design as well as add to it's frame strength.

Woohoo! Me too!

Just received my DevilCase. Shipped on 11/5 and received it today 11/8 from Taiwan. Super quick shipping! I thought it would be big and bulky on my 6plus but that's not the case, very thin and not much more width.

With the case on or off I would get 3 bars from my location but I did the field test with and without the case. Without it's -96db and with the case on it's -101db. So it didn't affect the signal that much. Pretty happy with it so far. Now just waiting for the Airyboy aero case to ship.

Here are some pics, sorry don't have a very good camera to take clearer ones.

Nice!

Do you also have something protecting the back or does the Devilcase bumper have an something for the back of the phone?

What do you think about the button performance of your new Devilcase?

Do they work or are they fussy? How was the install and everything? Airybody has pretty specify instructions especially for how to keep button functionality working with the bumper installed...Did you order through aconcept.com?

I ordered straight from their website using google translate, pretty easy and straightforward. It listed as shipping will be on 11/17 but someone from Devilcase emailed me with the tracking number on 11/5. BTW they have excellent customer service.
The buttons work flawlessly and installation was very easy, just 2 screws on the sides.
I already have the sticckerboy on the back but the case came with 2 free stickers, one in leather finish and the other just some criss cross designs, both are white.

So how much was the total you paid? i like this design a lot. I want this or the draco one for the iPhone 6 plus.

I got my Canaloo cases yesterday. Of the three I ordered, one was damaged so bad I could event put it on the phone, and a second was bowed out at the bottom. The good news is that when I emailed Canaloo about this they offered and processed a refund within a few hours.

I did a field test with the working one and saw no signal degradation, but I won't lie, these bumpers look and feel cheap. They're not what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the update. The Canaloo looked pretty cool on the pics in this thread.

It seems to work fine, but it's the little things, like how the coloring isn't centered on the buttons, which are two-tone. I will give them an A+ for communication and service though, and they're not very expensive so if you're not looking to shell out $50+ for a bumper, the Canaloo could be a good choice.

I have just received my Airybody bumper for my iPhone 6 plus. I absolutely love this bumper, however there is one flawed. The volume toggle switch extension that came with the case makes toggling very stiff and hard other than this no problems.

I know some of you were concern about the thickness of the bumper, rest assure that it's not thick at alll, very similar to my Sector 8 regarding thickness.

I used have a Real Elements Sector 8 bumper on my iPhone 5, but I did not want pay $180 for a bumper and wait til next year for it. Element Case is falling behind with these bumpers.

By the way, I have a full Glass Screen protector from Nillkin.

I have retract my review on the loss on reception. While I have installed my bumper at home last night, I was also testing the signal strength and only experience 1 point drop. This so happens that there is a cell site around the corner of my house so there is always full bar, I didn't think much of it.

However this is not the case today while at work. My phone pretty much stay on 3G the who time where I usually have LTE. Lucky I brought the small screw driver that came with the case, I began my testing at work.

Turn out that signal lost is huge, I went from an average -114 to a -89. I have e-mailed Airybody for a full refund, this case is going back and I'm extremely sorry for my previous review.

Here are some pictures, please let know if you have questions.

Does your screen protector cover the curved portion as well? Does the screen protector interfere with the bumper installation at all? How much wider di the phone feel in your hand?

The screen protector cover the entire screen however I do believe it is not curve. It sit on top of the curve screen portion, therefore there is a small space of air in between the screen and the protector. Good news, it does not interfere with the bumper as a matter of fact, the glass protector is slightly press down against the bumper making it a tight seal.

The phone does feel wider, but not by much.

Sorry to hear about the signal strength ---

Did Airybody reply back about signal strength? I assume this will be a pretty crucial blow to the success of any solid metal bumper. Hoping there s a work-a-round or easy fix.
