Looks interesting.

I would imagine that would be more for a Macbook ( entry level ) or Macbook Air ( some fun colors, some pro colors ) line, as opposed to Pros.

Since it seemed like the "entry" level iMacs got those colors, and perhaps the "bigger" or Pros might get the Space Gray or even Black.

I'm leaning towards a gold Air for my next purchase! I poo-pooed the Spring colors that came out for the iphone covers the week before last, but I like the iMac 24 color palette that we just experienced on Tuesday!

I like the white keyboard and bezels but I would use the chin colors (the lighter pastel shades) rather than the deeper colors for the rest. Less distracting contrast.

Not to steal the far more talented AngerDanger's thunder, but got bored the other day and made a similar mockup but of the MacBook Air while keeping the two-tone look from the iMac:

Some of the colors look awesome on a MacBook Pr/air... I’m not sure how I’d feel about it on a daily basis but the blue and this pink look awesome i must say

Macbook pro well probably not. The two models will probably be like before sliver and space grey.

It normaly the basic MacBook and MacBook air that give these options.

There is no "basic MacBook". Hasn't been for almost 2 years now ... just the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

The basic MacBook seems to come and go over past 10 plus years.

Well back in the old days the white MacBook was cheaper than the Air when it first came out and was thinker than the air than Apple stop making it than started making it again and was thinner than the Air.

Now the word Air and MacBook are just brand names and names don't mean any thing now. As any thing the word Air denotes it should be lighter and thinner and that was not the case.

It nothing more than place holder name Apple has for non MacBook pro now that cheaper that the average consumers go crazy over it.

The Macbook pro have always been plain looking.

I think it would work on the MacBook Airs but not the pros. Given this new approach to utilize bold colors I'm thinking it's a possibility that the rumored jet black finish Apple is working on will be used on the "Pro" line of Apple products (any Mac with an M1X chip or any Pro iPhone/iPad?) whereas the brighter colors will be used on "consumer" product lines.

The colors I don’t mind so much, but never would I ever use a keyboard with white keys. No thank you.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser exists for just such a keyboard. Worked wonders on my white plastic iBook back in the day.

Bring on the colors imo. Darker tones though with black keys and bezel. Same colors front and back- the case being uniform. Midnight blue, Product Red, etc.

Essentially the same colors that are on the back of the iMacs, but not the front colors.

I think the best we can hope for is that the Pros will come in the shades of the iPhone Pro, but I'd love to see a much more bold use of colours like we get on the standard iPhone. I just hope there's more of a choice than silver or space grey.

Nice video.

But nope, not for me. Especially not with white bezels. I'd rather a re-hash of the same old aluminium and black than an iMac colour scheme.

Now, black bezels and the iPhone Pro colours, that would be nice. I might even plan on getting a blue or gold one, before my hand slips and I 'accidentally' hit Graphite.
