I think I must be the only one that never adjusts the brightness, or turns off WiFi or Bluetooth. Everything on, all the time (I do have a morphie battery case though).

This jailbreak tweak called NC Settings already does this flawlessly. Take notes Apple. This will be the next big feature on iOS 8!

Wow there are a ton of selfish close-minded people. Settings toggles can be an immense time saving feature. As mentioned in the previous post, NCsettings via Cydia store is utterly amazing. Takes up almost no space in NC and is so quick and elegant.

For those having trouble fathoming need for toggles, try working on a campus where half the buildings have VPN networks and the other half not. So damn frustrating having to disable Wifi everytime I walk past a building with a VPN network and my phone connects without throughput. Also, I use my iPhone daily reading before bed and always adjust the brightness. Again NCsettings is an amazing Cydia mod that Apple really should have implemented. Anyone who says others has clearly never even seen the mod in action.

Notification Centre has a lot of potential on both OS X and iOS.

It's a disappointment Apple isn't utilising it fully.

Your toggle concept is a very good example, and I'd like it as a feature to be added in the near future.

Just curious though - how many people are actively toggling 3G on and off?
If you're asking about toggling data in general, then I do that everyday since I have the lower monthly data plan. If I left it on in the background it would waste my data limit, but I do want push notifications when there is something important. I only leave it on in the background during those times. Instead of constantly turning on and off notifications for each app, it's easier to toggle the data button to do all the apps at once.

If you are asking specifically about toggling 3G, then I've read that some people do it fairly often to save on battery power since I think 2G uses less battery. I don't toggle 3G, but that's why giving users the option to put whatever they want as toggles is something I think many would want. The set of toggles will be different for everyone.

iOS's lack of toggles is the only thing that keeps me jailbroken, which is a pain.
This is such a fantastic concept that I decided to make a demonstration video, which could be linked to in the first post.
It reminds me of a quick idea I had a few years ago before Apple allowed users to create playlists on iOS.

It’s a nice video, but I suggest to remove the Apple logo from it.

Why? Also, how? YouTube doesn't allow users to replace existing videos without deleting and re-uploading.

X2...you obviously think it is good enough to create the video. You should have created your own logo first.

I do have my own logo, but I made that video as a mock iPhone ad. Apple doesn't use my logo, so I didn't either.

I really don't see what Apple's gripe is about making Bluetooth/Wifi toggles so hard to access. It's getting ridiculous, really. Don't like the course Apple is taking :(

The slightly transparent Notif bar is genius. Really tempted to jailbreak, but alas, I can't risk performance/usability for a few cosmetic tweaks.

There is no risk! The people who jailbreak who have problems (from what I can tell) are people who add tons of jailbreak apps, tweak everything and do theming. All I can say is ever since I jailbroke and only added NC Settings and maybe a couple of other things I've had no issues. Going back stock at this point would make my phone feel so old. Believe me, if I had problems I'd unbreak quick. You really are missing out for no reason. All the stuff you WISH iOS 5 had, it CAN have. Well, except NFC! The only jailbreak I have on my iPad is NC Settings. I'd really miss it on there.

Take off the tinfoil hat and jailbreak. If you don't like it you can always go back.

You won't risk performance or usability at all. This is a common misconception.
Now that my phone is jailbroken, using it is much faster and slicker. It doesn't crash, battery life is the same, everything is the same.

After all, you can jailbreak it, use it for a few days and if you don't like it you can go back to normal.

Because this can have legal consequences in some countries. You can’t simply put the logo of a company on something you made. Not that they would sue you, but Apple is not exactly known for tolerance when it comes to their corporate identity.

And you probably gave the answer already: delete and re-upload. And put the new link into it so your video can still be watched by others. ;)

If it were any other company's logo, I might be worried. But Apple ships logo stickers with all their iPods/iOS devices, appends " Made on a Mac" to pages created in iWeb, and even includes a keyboard shortcut (alt + shift + k) for typing their logo.

Not to mention, I've had a video online with the Apple logo for the past 4 years without YouTube's bots/filters taking action.

However you wish, it was simply a well-intentioned suggestion. Seeing what Apple tries to do with coffee house owners just because their logo contains an apple would make me uncertain about this whole topic.

You all give me some hope! Does jailbreaking affect Backups at all? I need to make sure I have a complete backup (including all texts, especially)... not sure if jailbreaking affects iTunes's ability to fully backup the info on the iPhone..
