Hi, I currently have a normal size sim card and was wondering how I would go about getting a nano sim card as I am going to buy the iphone 5 sim free from Apple online. I am on O2 PAYG and want to keep the same mobile number. Thanks.

When you get the iPhone 5 on Launch, it will come with a Nano Sim (They will provide that for free).. Just ask them to swap your current Sim to the new Nano Sim.. Within 2hours (24hours Max) you'll have a running Nano Sim on your current Number and PAYG Tarrif

Thank you. Does that mean when I pre-order tomorrow there will be an option to choose a carrier even though i'm buying the phone sim free? Or otherwise they wouldn't know which carrier nano sim to send with the phone.

If ordering from apple then you may ask "Can I get a O2 Phone" - For example.. Then you may switch to the new Nano will once you have you're handset. They should ask you which carrier would you like, of not tell them. You don't want to be stuck with for example a Vodashite iPhone.;)

I think the OP is talking about buying from o2 but I'd also like to know if apple will provide free sims with PAYG purchases. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I was thinking of going to a pay monthly contract with this phone but I've hunch it'll work out too expensive. It looks like the phone will still be quite expensive even with a £36/month contract.

Haha, thank you for all the information :D

All carriers will provide a PAYG Sim regardless. Even of it is an upgrade. And so will Apple especially :)

Sorry, I've posted this once but messed up the post somehow! That link is wrong but the prices have been there since last night. This link should work....

Considering they did away with the whole Platinum, Gold, Silver thing a few months ago, I'd take all this with a pinch of salt.

Never asked anyone to believe me, think that if you like. I know I'm right. I have no reasons to lie.

If you look on the Apple store iPhone app it says the prices on there
£529 - 16 GB
£599 - 32 GB
£699 - 64 GB
