Best is highly debatable based on one's appreciation for a device. But I do agree it's an excellent device and has lots of potential.

Unless the Note 8 makes coffee I fail to see what potential there is left to reach?o_O As you know from my previous post I agree with you about 'the best'.:)

I think the Note 8 has expanded its capabilities with the S Pen, which makes it really a unique device from other smart phones. But altogether, hardware is superficial to an extent, where comes down to primarily what someone wants for the operating platform.

"But altogether, hardware is superficial to an extent". Can you expand on that a little please? Thanks, nice debate.:)

What I mean by hardware is only superficial, is that when somebody purchases something based on what they want physically from a smart phone, that only is temporary. Because ultimately what it comes down to is the software experience with Android or iOS If the phone is laggy and the software is choppy, that takes away from anybody caring about the hardware. At first, we choose the phone based off what we want in Color and style, but then ultimately long-term, it comes down to the software experience.

If Somebody doesn't like the software experience, they likely will not care about the hardware anymore then they do the software.

The Note 8 is simply the best phone of the year....bar none.
looking at your avatar, sig, and post history... jeez, does samsung pay you to post like this? you seem to spend a little too much time in the iphone section for someone who wants desperately to come across as secure in his purchase decisions.

The Second reason would be to try and Push the 8 and 8 Plus, which they knew people wouldn't really go for. I think that's the reason the IPhone 7 is outselling it. But it makes since, they can't say they had record IPhone sells it they only had the X which supposedly will be hard to get. But I think it backfired because most people didn't fall for it and now they are upping production of the X.

I think the 8 and 8 plus are a stop gap since they knew the X wasn't going to be ready on time due to production issues. and also to serve those who aren't ready to give up touch ID... but I dont think they care about sluggish 8 sales, they would much rather upsell you to the X.
