Eli Manning running out of a tackle with like 3 patriots with a perfect pass. AMAZING!

btw whats up with this "world champions" business? NFL is only played in the US (and a little in Canada)

/Australian rant

Most game changing play in the game and the catch was amazing as well. Props to both QB and receiver.

Not a Patriots fan. But the Giants winning the SB was a joke. Just like their wins over the Packers and Cowboys. Not so much a case of them winning as the other team letting them win. Here you go Giants, we don't really want it. Tony Romo said it, then Brett Favre said it, now the Patriots said it.

What else do you call it when Manning should have been sacked and completes that pass. The very next play after what should have been an interception. And if I'm not mistaken there was another should've been interception a couple plays after that pass. Sorry, total joke.

You can argue that he eluded a sack and made a great play, but what really happened is got totally and completely utterly lucky again, b/c it is Eli Manning we are talking about.

I have to disagree. Nobody "lets" anyone win a superbowl, or playoff game etc. I can promise you that. Should he have been sacked?? Absolutely -no question. He could have just fallen on the ball knowing he was screwed, but he didn't. He broke away and made that pass, and the receiver could have dropped it, but he didn't. Was it "lucky?" Look, nobody let the Giants win. They had heart and TOOK victory. The Giants defense went out there and beat the Patriots down. The Pats were overconfident and played the same old mechanical game that's been successful all season. The Giants exploited the hell out of this. They were hungry and they played with ferocity... and still barely pulled it out. The Pats are insanely good even on a bad day, but they didn't stop that last drive. I almost feel bad for them but then I imagine the gloating face of Brady in the week prior to the game- when he was laughing at the Plaxico Burress prediction that Pats would lose with 17 points. Oh sorry Tom, that was too much credit, you only got 14. Now go bang your insanely hot supermodel gf and enjoy your otherwise awesome life -if you can. Now, Belichick? Man o man, I'd trade with Tom Brady in a second, but I wouldn't wanna be Belichick.

I could care less about the super bowl or for any sport for that matter. There's nothing special about sports imo.

I could care less about trolls.

I really thought the Patriots were going to pull it off with a minute left. They had a lot at stake and they blew it. Yay Giants!

Wait so someone who has a distaste for sports is a troll?

no! someone who posts in a thread about sports to say that they hate sports adds nothing to the thread and is pointless except to derail the intention of the thread. right?

If I went to a thread about how great Vista is, and said "I hate vista, and everything about microsoft" how is that not trolling? Are they the same thing? To me they are.

Slightly OT, but I haven't watched a football game in quite a while so I was pretty amazed at the graphics on the field. I mean the players run right over the graphic! really

Also the camera really captured emotion from the players. When Manning messed up, you could see his disappointment pretty clearly. It was a lot more pleasant watching sports than the way I remembered.

Manning has a real potty mouth actually. :p

During the Green Bay game, you could see him mouthing a certain 'f' word several times. :p

I've been a Patriots fan for a long time and will continue to be. I am just very upset with them right now. All I am saying is they had a record setting season that they threw away with too many mistakes tonight. They could have gone down in history as the greatest and now will only be remembered as the team that lost. Their great season will not be remembered...this game will be.

You should be thrilled the Pats lost. You have just been saved from terminal insufferability. You could have spent the rest of your life ranting about how this team was the Greatest in History. You would have become a terminal bore. Eventually you would have had no friends and died alone and unwanted. Now you can go live a normal life. You should be very, very thankful that you escaped that sad fate. :)

Do you seriously need to post THREE times?

Sigh. I stayed up until 4am to watch the game, only to be disappointed with 35 seconds left. Then I had to work today...

Anyway, I'm disappointed with the team as a whole, including Bill Belichick. He was totally focused on defense at first and why didn't they let Goskowski try a long field goal? I knew that was going to come back and bite them in the ass...

Seeing that I live in Boston, I will give the Giants the PROPS they deserve. It was a great game, but in all 100% honestly...the Giants just PLAYED harder than we did. The Giants D was just on fire. I have been a PATS fan since I can remember, and I don't hop on the bandwagon. But WHERE THE HELL was our O-LINE??? Where was our D?? IDK what the hell happen. But CONGRATS to the GIANTS. But want to know what I think??? Did anyone notice what Bill was wearing?? He was sporting a new RED sweatshirt:confused:.. What the hell was that?? Where is the grey one??? IDK..I'm just venting.. Again...GOOD GAME NY!!! See you next year.
