I ditched my Apple Watch and replaced it with an actual watch… nothing fancy, a Casio Mudmaster… so a little fancy as it cost more than an Apple Watch… my probable with the Apple Watch is that it’s not a watch, its a wearable you wear on your wrist and that’s what you consider it to be… If you want a watch get a watch if you want a wearable computer then get one of those… or if you’re lucky enough to have two arms… get both, seeing that more and more… why should owning an Apple Watch mean you can’t have a nice wrist watch as well… and wear them at the same time if you want to rock that look… why not…?
The Apple Watch should only be worn for health or if you’re addicted to getting instant notifications. If you want to free yourself, get rid of your Apple Watch. Leave your phone in your pocket until you’re making or receiving a call. Use an iPad or Mac for work. Simplify your life don’t complicate it especially with unnecessary distractions that the Apple Watch creates. Wear your new watch with pride. The engineering is amazing and the look is not the same as literally 80% of the people around wearing Apple Watches.
Richard Scarry ❤️Or… You could, like this guy, enjoy both.

Maybe you find preferences for when you wear one vs. the other.
That's a you issue. You can configure the AW to work just like a regular watch. Turn off notifications, use a simple face. It's still a better watch than pretty much any other watch you can think of when it comes to the core function of a watch (telling the time).
The complaining about distractions is silly, you just need to figure out hoe to use the device.
It's like complaining that radios are too loud. just adjust the volume.
Not when you need to recharge it every single day.
Still looks like the same crap watch everyone else is wearing. I wouldn’t wear mine out of the house unless it was at the gym for tracking reasons. Turning off notifications is one way, but everyone I see is so addicted to their screens they’re missing the whole world and reality around them. Apple banks on it! Tim Crook banks on it! AAPL shareholders bank on it!That's a you issue. You can configure the AW to work just like a regular watch. Turn off notifications, use a simple face. What I would like is a device that doesn’t tell time, doesn’t give me crap notifications, no display and just tracks my health. Like an Apple Ring. But Tim was so busy pursuing everything from cars to augmented reality that he never stopped to think what people wanted was a better way to get the same results.
Stop wearing Omega or Rolex or Seiko for an Apple Watch! No thanks. OP has the right idea. A bunch of money hungry top 1% get rich by selling crap watches that last a few years and are meant to go in the trash.
Is that supposed to be an argument or some kind of burn?Wonder how you've survived all the years without one…
You don't have to be addicted to timely notifications to see the advantages of getting them. The Apple Watch should only be worn for health or if you’re addicted to getting instant notifications.
Or they concede it and are of the opinion it's worth the trade-off.When someone is an Apple Watch fanboy, he will turn his eye from the biggest problem of this gadget, which is a battery life.
Noooooooo!! Not on the same wrist!
Hey everyone, here’s a thread about double wristing mechanical watches and Apple Watches. I strongly believe in wearing both of them together and mixing them up. Here’s the link: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...me.2378514/page-3?post=33451506#post-33451506
Where did you get blood oxygen on your Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black tatty? These ones do not have it in USA 🇺🇸Ultra 2 with the nomad rocky pt band now that's a Apple Watch.
That thing OP is looking at is ugly as.

The original poster in that thread is an Apple Watch Ultra user, just like you, and they also own Rolexes.

Yes I have the back ocean too, the nomad is more comfortable for me. Great band.Nice look - I like the black AWU2 with rugged rubber bands, like this one and the black ocean band
Pretty sure he’s in Australia.
Everyone gets the blood oxygen outside the US.
I knew it! The only Apple Watch Ultra 2 in natural titanium released before 2024 has it. And guess what? That latest Apple Watch Ultra and the Apple Watch series 9 are the only ones that have blood oxygen and are the newest.Australia
Thanks a bunch! Now, the doc with the AWU 2 is in the party! 🎉 Can you share some insights on the advantages of rocking both a regular watch and an Apple Watch? I’ve heard you’re a daily wearer, and we have a couple of Apple Watch enthusiasts who prefer to wear both. On the flip side, what are the drawbacks of having both a mechanical watch and an Apple Watch (even with an Apple Watch Ultra or a series 10)? We’re all ears! Here I am 😎
