I actually went from a 6s to an SE this week. I much prefer the smaller body. The one thing that kind of bug me with the 6s touchid was that it was so fast that made it impossible to just check for notification without unlocking it. The SE being a bit slower I no longer have that problem. I had a 6 before the 6s. It seems to me the SE works better than the 6 did.
Soon not going to be an issue with iOS 10's raise to wake. I'm actually really looking forward to this feature on my iPhone SE.

Just got my iPhone SE a few days ago, upgraded from a damaged (My Fault) 5S. I didnt have any issues with the performancew of the 5S going into this.

1. I find the Touch ID faster on the SE than the 5S (Slightly) and a little more accurate so far, I have no issues whatsoever with the Touch ID performance.

2. No idea, Apple does what/when apple does

3. basically see #2 above, having said that I'm sure each new revision will bring better performance and features to the table, I'm just not sure I need any better performance from my Phone.

Overall I really like the SE (I really liked the 5S too) and in particular the form factor just works for me

The problem with the iPhone SE is that, despite the modern processor, this is not a modern phone.

I got an iPhone SE and after using it for a bit then its very clear that the iPhone SE is a placeholder device that is due for an upgrade even before it was released. Yes, it has the speed to compete but not the features. No 3D Touch, Outdated Screen, Missing Cellular Bands, Slower Touch ID and a "classic" (outdated) design make it a tough purchase because this is a phone that should be ready to replace but Apple may have no intention to ever replace it.

I like having an SE as a backup device but I just wish Apple put some effort into creating a modern 4" iPhone rather than cobbling together old stuff and still selling it for a premium price.

Honestly , only reason I would go for the SE is because if the smaller body. Helps with general walking around , sitting down, exercising etc.otherwise I'd get the 6s or 7 when it comes out.

I find the Touch ID on the SE to be quite fast. A previous poster made an excellent observation that the SE could be a one-off model like the 5C. If anyone doesn't mind being on a Sprint-based no-contract service, both VirginMobile and BoostMobile offer the SE at a discount... $299 for 16GB and $399 for 64. I got my 64GB on Boost and my wife has her 64GB on VirginMobile. Great phone, great price, great service (in our local areas at least)

I had an 6S before giving it to my daughter so I went out and got a SE. The speed of TouchID is near perfect and it works every time on the SE. Never had an issue with the 6S other than it being too fast at times. And it's a shame that the fingerprint reader on the SE beats the S7/Note 7 reader when it comes to ease of use.
Maybe it's time for Apple to have some type of speed slider for TouchID on the upcoming iPhones.

Its best iPhone ever made, dont buy iPhone 7 without jack port
With 50 usd cheaper, that means its the most affordable iPhone all time
Do no need to spend over 1k
