As Bill Maher put it on tonight's Real Time - "If your iPhone 6 bends in your pocket don't complain to apple, eat one."

Once metal bend it will not flex back like plastic. You will already have a bended phone.

That's the problem with ip6.

I find it quite amusing how so many people who don't own either of these phones can emphatically claim absolutely no doubt they will bend if kept in your front pocket.

For reference here are the other phones after testing. I don't see one of them that snapped back into place.

I don't think the phone has been in circulation long enough to even suggest that it will bend easily carrying it in your front pocket, much less suggesting it a widespread problem. My guess is, if it is bending in your front pocket, you would feel it digging into your body and it would be uncomfortable.

I'd enjoy reviewing these comments... where people have flat out claimed that Consumer Reports is faking their test results. That's quite a wild accusation.

Great, now you force me to read the damn thread a second time because you are too lazy, thanks. :D

Just two examples, I haven't read the whole thread again though. Other similar tendencies is to discard CR's test in favor of random internet strangers.

Its fun to watch the majority of internet trolls scatter once scientific and reputable as Consumer Reports state their findings. Although a few cling to hope trying to convince others its not so.

Did you agree with CR when they took the iPhone 4 off of their recommended list because of the antenna issue?

Actually, It did not concern me in the slightest. Having the iPhone 4 myself and having no problems with reception, I still found it strange.

Why is it that physically destroying your phone with your own hands is prove that it will do the exact same thing in your pocket?

I could bend any phone and break it just the same. Just don't do it and it won't be a problem.

Because for most humans, the butt is mightier than the fingers.

"Normal daily usage"

Screens don't shatter under normal daily usage either... but look around, I have a lot of friends with broken iPhone screens.

Mark my words, this is going to become an issue for many users. Their phones will most certainly bend over time.

There have also been many Samsung screens broken, HTC, Moto, Windows, Google, it's not just Apple! These things are basically a big hunk of glass. If you drop them and they land just right, the screen breaks.

For a guy who doesn't even own an iPhone 6 or 6+, you seem to have a heck of a lot to say. Yeah, let's all take the word of random people online who just joined this site to b*** and don't even own the device in question. Yes, let's take their word over the rest of us who actually own the phones and have zero issues of any kind.

The guy doing the videos is laughing all the way to the bank which will just encourage this kind of thing. Not to mention Samsung has been caught PAYING people to trash Apple in forums and such.

Here's what I know...I personally know about 12 people with the new iPhone 6 (no 6+). NONE of us are having ANY issues with our phones, bending or otherwise. Two people are using Apple's leather case and the rest of us are using no cases although I plan on getting one for added protection. I generally always do, these things are expensive.

I maintain the iPhone 6 will prove to be every bit as durable as any other device in real world use. It's fast, slim, light and the camera is great. That's all I need.

In the event my iPhone 6 does begin to bend, I'll call Apple on it, don't worry.

I say you're trolling based on your sign up date. And I also say nobody does that with their phones under normal usage. This guy is just looking for YouTube views nothing more. And I can match your anecdotal evidence with two posters in this thread who owned the new iPhone and have no bend issues (and they do put the phone in their pocket).

Apfelschaf is German for "Apple Sheep". He is a troll.

Did you even watch the entire video?

I didn't agree with them for taking it off their recommended list, but the antenna issue was real. I had an iPhone 4, and it happened to me. I used mine with the bumper, so it really wasn't a problem for me, but without the bumper, I could lose a call just by shifting my grip.

In the case of my iPhone 6+, my experience tells me that bending is not a problem in ordinary use, and CR is backing up my experience again.

Wonder why we never see that phone being bought and taken out of a sealed box in an uncut video??

This looked almost like one of those videos of street magicians fooling a bunch of incredulous people around...

Agreed. Either way the guy is a d***. Not that I care that much about a phone but why is he buying things and breaking them just to prove a point no one cares about? Real first world issue here folks.

Normal usage does include dropping the phone from time to time but no one is slamming a phone down and complaining that the screen shatters.

Putting two thumbs against the back and pulling on the edges is NOT NORMAL USAGE. No pocket is going to do that.

Did you even watch the entire video?

Yes. It's not really that long. Or convincing.
