Put the new galaxy alpha and the note 4 in...

I want to see those metal bands to deform and don't come back, because there's no screen directly glued to bring it back.

omg. it amazes me how people in the third world kill/stab people to get their hands on an iphone. and in western countries people are breaking them for just to see what happens! if only they knew how valuable that commodity is in other parts of the world. :D

The money that Consumer Reports makes in ad revenue from this video far exceeds the cost of the phones they destroyed.

The weak spot on the iPhone 6+ is obviously the area where the down volume button cutout is. A force directly at that point will highlight the true strength of the phone. Therefore if someone was to sit on their phone and stress it at this location it won't need a lot of force to bend.

I still reckon this is a design compromise they could have avoided but instead chose to maintain its thinness of the phone against a potential backlash over the rigidity. Jony Ive got his way it seems.

I don't believe Apple has ever said that the new phones won't bend at all. And looking at videos of people going out of their way to destroy a perfectly good device, in order to try and prove some kind of known Apple conspiracy is just as stupid, in my opinion.

This is what I really hate about the internet. Any idiot can make any claim he wants to. But what's worse is that there are many more idiots who just can't wait to jump on anything negative to express their own negative "opinions". The internet can be as terrible and destructive as it can be great and constructive.

I LOVE it. Now will all the Fandroids ****!?
Anytime there is something negative on Apple, they jump around an flap like giddy schoolgirls...........but when there is something positive, they get all pissy lol.
Grow up dopes!
Bendgate: CLOSED.
( let me guess, Apple paid Consumer Reports off, too, right? lol)

Who will seriously submit their iPhone to a stress concentration like in the youtube video or like in the consumer report test?

Is people using their iPhones as door stoppers? You use it to keep the elevator door from closing? The metro wagon door...

People shooting at their iPhones was crazy enough, the blender...and now these...

So you mean to tell me the Plastic Galaxy Note 3 is sturdier than pretty much all of the "premium build" iPhones? I honestly wasn't expecting this at all(no sarcasm).

Lol at people in original pants gate thread touting the Htc One M8.

Which also happens to be 32% thicker than the iPhone 6 plus.

How is the issue closed? The iPhone 6 is half as strong as the iPhone 5 and Note 3, which means it's twice as much likely to be bended.

The youtube guy was reported to make anywhere from $16,000 to $30,000 in ad revenue from that one video. So there is obviously a financial motive involved.

Consumer Reports pretty much hates everyone, so if they're saying it's not an issue, everyone can kindly **** now.

Well nice that CR chimed in but I didn't need to be reassured that my iphone is not going to bend unless I exert a lot of pressure on it. I've always treated my phones, electronics and musical instruments with care and don't expect I'll be bending my phone anytime soon

I agree. The new phone is approximately half as strong as the old one, so nothing to see here

I thought it was just me, I had to read it a few times, now the iPhone 6 is one of the worst phones you can buy in the luxury category.

Am I reading it right?
