Dude, it doesn't matter what you say or post pictures of, they won't believe you. I had no clue I was going to spend my morning trying to defend myself so don't fall into the same trap. You know the truth, and I know they truth. The rest will find out soon enough whether they want to or not unfortunately.

I saw that coming ages ago. You want to see the official Apple forums it’s even worse.
You went into the ring with your guard down, you gotta admit.

No... I don't have an iPhone 6 Plus yet. But I'm thinking about getting one.

I carry my iPhone 5S in my front pocket right now... which is why I was wondering if the 6 Plus would survive in a front pocket.

Maybe the general rule should be: always take your phone out of your pocket before you sit.

You could try with any other 5+" device. You can keep it in your front pocket while walking, but it's very uncomfortable when you are seated.

Have a look at booksbooks' posting history and see if you can identify the common denominator.

Already done, but he define himself like an Apple lover

.....and in the mean time sales of the new Samsung Note 4 go through the roof...

....or maybe not! LOL

You started out saying two out of three phones were bent, and the only one that wasn't bent was in a purse. Then you said you'd take photos of two on monday, next to a piece of paper with writing on it proving these are actually your phones and not something from the web.

Then it became "i only have access to one bent phone, the other i can't photograph until monday"

Then it became "i can't take a picture of the one bent phone i have because I don't have a camera"

Then it became "well, sure my wife has the other phone, with a camera, but she's at work."

Then it became "well, nothing to see here anyway, because I fixed one of the bent phones"

Then it became "here's a picture of a phone with no bend in it. Oh, and just forget about that thing where I said I'd prove it's my own picture by writing something on a piece of paper. But just wait until monday."

Given this evolving story, how are we supposed to believe anything beyond "on monday whoever is paying me to post all this is going to provide me with a photo of a bent phone?"

Whatever pal. You're absolutely right. This is all made up, and I'm making money by trying to make 20 people believe that my phones bent, lol. Maybe you're the one being paid by Apple to defend them at all costs.

I'm done here. You're already making up excuses as to why you're not going to believe my photos Monday so why even bother.

I came here as an iPhone owner with a legitimate concern, and got attacked for it......great forum.

Hahaha going already???

What about Monday??

Waiting for the photo of the 3 phones side by side and with your username on a piece of paper.

but now you had enough and don't want to come back..

Didn't see that coming

What excuses? I promise you I will believe you have a bent phone if you post a photo of one that is:

1) actually bent
2) accompanied with ANY identifying information like you promised

That's it.

But your original claim - two out of three of your phones bent - is demonstrable ********.

I don't get it. The iPhone 6 is still about half as strong (70 to 130) as the other "non premium" & cheap phones. And we are all happy about it?

The premium label, if it exists, is not related to the torque resistance of the phone.
The iPhone 6 is thin and light, it has a comparable volume to the previous model with a larger screen and a better battery life and performance. This means it's "premium" (usually only Apple haters use the word "premium", to be honest).

Test of the malleability of the 6+ EXPERIMENT

I am really torn on this issue. I challenge all the readers of this post to do one thing (as I have done as an experiment).

1. Find a very flat table
2. Make sure your 6+ is in a flat backed case (yet flexible) that enables it to sit flush on the flat table even with the protruding camera. In other words - the case comes out passed the camera and thus lets the phone sit flush.
3. Touch the corners of your 6+ making sure it is completely flat and not rocking back and forth at all on your flat surface... If it is, your phone is already ever so slightly tweaked as mine was.
4. If it is sitting flush, then gentle pick up your phone and just barely, and I mean barely give your phone I twist by applying very gentle pressure on opposite corners.
5. Now sit the phone back down on your very flat surface and press on each corner until you notice slight rocking.
6. You will will soon discover how very easily this aluminum case is tweaked out of shape. This phone is super malleable.

Now after you have completed this very simple test, feel free to twist your phone back into a completely flat form. This scares me... Once I day I sit my phone down on my flat surface and notice it is yet again slight torqued out of shape (this is after a day of just regular use and not evening having it in a pocket). I am super careful and gentle with my 6+, and yet low and behold and the end of every day it is slight tweaked and not completely flat.

Disclaimer: Your phone must be in a completely flat backed case (as mine is) that lifts it slightly off the table as to compensate for the protruding camera. I am using a Spigen air cushion technology clear case. Also, before anyone says it is my case, it is not. I did this exact test with 2 brand new 6+'s and 2 brand new Spigen cases to eliminate variables. I even switched the same case to one 6+ that I knew was perfectly flat and it did not rock back and forth, then I took the very same case and put it on another 6+ that I knew was slightly tweaked and it did rock back and forth. Then I straightened the phone out by twisting it back into shape - rocking gone... #RockingGate lol?

I had no clue it was like this here. I'm use to forum members working together to find solutions to common problems, not live in denial and attack people for bringing them up in the first place. This is absolutely insane.

But... the internet said... but... bending... but... THE INTERNET LIED TO ME. I was promised that Apple release a horrible product that would bend and twist every time i tapped the home button!

Try it by yourself: if you keep your arm completely extended, you are not applying full force. That video is just a pathetic fake.

Don't know if he is just a hater or he's been paid by someone.

Everyone that plays baseball or has played knows that the bend on the arm is important at the point if hitting the baseball

What denial? You lied and got caught. "I have two bent phones and will show you a picture" turned into "I have one bent phone and someday maybe I'll show you a picture."

You tried to impress with your tale of a 67% bent rate, and got caught in the lie.

Ok now that was well put. I accept your point but don’t wholly agree.

And not saying you have to agree, My whole point was that you have to take these new users' posts in the context of who you know them to be (i.e. we don't have any clue), just like you would in the physical "real" world. It isn't a blind bias to new users, taking the attitude that they can't have their say or provide input.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think we've agreed on things in the past, and also disagreed, so on this we have slightly differing views, big deal.

I actually personally feel that this unbox therapy guy is riding a dangerous wave for his week of fame - his videos contain several troubling inconsistencies and if it were found that he wasn't using genuine Apple devices or using pre-stressed or doctored devices, he could be in real legal trouble if Apple decides to press the issue.

It simply troubles me that the most respected international news agency in the entire world, CNN, reports that it is virtually impossible to bend the phone like that with your hands, and this guy first uses all his strength in the original video to bend it about 30 degrees, and then basically bends it in half like a stick of butter in the follow-up.

Don't really get a good gut feeling about that if you know what I mean...

Your phone is not bent....

Move along buddy you're just making a fool of yourself now....

Yes, I owned one for over half a year. Its was much thinner then the BEASTLY UNGODLY THICK 4S I'm using now. Due to its design the edges were around the same as the iPhone 5 and thickest part only 8.3mm.

I see what you did there at the end. You took your lack of common sense and actual knowledge of the devices and tried to spin it around on me. Touche.

Are you really comparing the note 3 to the 2010 iPhone 4 design?
And no, the iPhone 5 is thinner than the Note 3, design or not.

There's no question the iPhone he uses is adultered in some way.

Maybe an inferior backplate has been installed...

You see in the video of the insurance company the muscle guy struggles to bend it

I can completely believe this is true, just as you say, and that it will keep flexing that would be noticed in the way you indicate.

I also accept most won't see this, won't know and won't worry.
Just like you see people with dings on their iPhone5 and thinking it's still perfect.

You realize the iPhone 4/4s chassis is a good 48 months old, versus the brand new note 3 that was released 11 months ago.

All forums have this cancer now. A lot of hate. Luckily there still are a handful of good people that do communicate in a friendly helpful manner.

How did I "lie and get caught?" Two out of three of my phones bent, and that's a fact. Just because I was able to bend one back to flat doesn't mean it didn't bend, it actually means it bent twice.

And I never said someday I will show you a picture, I said Monday.
