Invalid. It's lighter and thinner because it also lacks a phone and a cellular data option. Not only does that make the iPod Touch a different class of device, but it also makes it fundamentally inferior to the iPhone models.
If I were you I'd read some books on responsive design and remove what is possibly the world's ugliest ad bar from the middle of my blog. But that's just me.

iPod is thinner and lighter because it's possible. They can't make the iPhone that thin at the moment.
iPhone 5c is a better design than both iPhone 5/5s and iPod. Prove me wrong ....
It's a subjective opinion, nothing more.
I really think iPhone 5c is the best iPhone ever, regarding aesthetic. I'm not going to buy it just because is almost identical to my iPhone 5, but if I could have an iPhone 5c with the same technology of 5s it will be my choice.

Lol @ all the people getting all exasperated and hyperventilating that there is a phone inside the iPhone and not the iPod touch like we didn't know it.
I personally love the iPod touch. It's thin and light.
But....better than the iPhone? It's thinner and lighter only because it doesn't have 3G/LTE, so it doesn't have the hardware or the (necessary) bigger battery. That's all. There's no clash of design.

The fact that you wrote this invalidates every single thing you've written in this entire thread. You're clearly just making stuff up out of thin air, so why bother to debate any of it?
The iPod has a much better design then the 5C. Metal beats plastic any day of the week and the iPod has the nice beveled edge. I'd say its a tie between the iPod and the 5S however.

I think the iPhone 5c is the best design right now. It's my top choice, but too bad it has iPhone 5 specs.
That said I don't see how the iPod touch and the iPhone compare. One only has WiFi and the other one is a cell phone.
