Touch's shape resembles old iPod classic, kinda out of date I say. Better? Depends whether you prefer German vs Japanese vs American.

Iphone 5s is angular and thicker, the iPod touch feels much better in the hand. It is lighter, it is less thick, it costs less, if could also be a phone if only Apple would include the phone software. Your turn.

Incorrect, it also would need the hardware. Of course that does not preclude a similar case design to the touch, just adding a correction.

This thread is bananas.

that is because your typical MacRumors poster freaks out when someone posts an original thought that goes against the "Apple status quo."

The fact that you wrote this invalidates every single thing you've written in this entire thread. You're clearly just making stuff up out of thin air, so why bother to debate any of it?

duh and the cellular hardware...did not think YOU needed such a logic hand-hold.

The Touch 5 is indeed the best-ever Apple design. I love my black (or is it slate?) one. Since I don't particularly enjoy yaking on a phone and am at a good wi-fi connection 95% of the time, I don't miss not having an iPhone.

In terms of pure technology per cu in or per gram, the Touch 5 is hard to beat. Rock on!

It would be pretty awesome if the iPhone 6 used this slimmer iPod design with a 4.5" screen and reduced bezel.
