Convince me to get the MacBook over a MBP!

I agree. I got my aluminum MacBook this February and my screen looks great. Blacks are very dark. If you don't mind the 13.3" screen and smaller form then it's perfect for you considering your needs. You may want to go for the 2.4 GHz which has the same specs (besides the extra graphics card) as the baseline MacBook Pro.

I own a MBP and am looking at getting a MB. I like the small size better and since they just did a refresh on the screens you should be good to go.

13 inches is a lot nicer for mobility than 15.

Not to mention the new macbooks have a brighter and better screen

Which is why I'm getting rid of my uMBP and getting a uMB.

Could have gotten an iMac and an uMB for the same price that this uMBP cost me (memory + harddisk upgraded). Oh, and it's been overheating on me and what not, so I've been without computer sporadically as well... Thanks, Apple!

Knowing myself, I would get the MBP, b/c I don't want to look back a few months later and wished that I had gotten a MBP.

Now, I have to decide b/t the 15" or the 17". Again, knowing myself, I will probably end up getting the 17"

I thought the same thing. The 13" is more portable. But like one of those things if you don't have it you won't miss it. And with OpenCL coming, the gpu wil be nice to have. So 15 or 17. I checked out the 17 in the store and it's huge and heavy. Just way too big. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to buy the 15 from the store or order online to upgrade to 7200 hdd. I like the idea of having it tomorrow Get the 15.
