The one feature I found to be really cool is

Holding the Home and Sleep/On/Off button at the same time to screen capture what is on your screen

since learning about it in here I have used it countless times.

What about you, what feature or trick has you loving the iPhone

Hate to break it to you sparky but that feature is pretty much well known.

It is a well known feature to MOST, not ALL, that is why when I found it out, I started to show it to everyone I know with an iPhone, there may be other features everyone could share well known or not?

Just trying to say that maybe everyone doesn't know about all the features, so maybe everyone could share their favorite new feature.

Thanks man, I didn't know about that either and now I do...mission accomplished.

Thanks

If you carefully place your finger on bottom left side, you can make the bars go down. Isn't that cool?!

we've been doing that since '07... the majority of iPhone owners know about this...

Why is everyone jumping on the OP? He did not claim this was something that everyone did not know. His thread title is pretty clear to anyone who bothers to read it that this is something others "may not know about" and there was already a poster in this thread who stated he did not know about it. Lay off the guy. He is sharing something cool he just learned for the benefit of others who may not know about it. What a horrible thing to do

Thanks, some ppl have nothing better to do with their own life so they bash threads of value maybe not to them, but to others.

Thanks for the Backup :D

to lighten the mood..

when taking a picture, instead of tapping to zoom, then pressing the shutter button... hold the shutter button down, then tap to zoom, then release shutter button.. this way you wont move the phone when you hit the shutter.

I want to follow the OP's example.

Did you know the phone app can make calls if you type in a phone number and press Call? The only catch is you need to input a VALID phone number!

I just tried this, but it did not work for me. Once I hit and held the shutter button it would not let me tap to focus.

You're a terrible MR troll. What a lousy attempt as usual, lol.

I remember when I first got my iPhone I kept accidently doing this and had no idea how.
I eventually figured it out and life was significantly improved.

Related to the screenshot ability:

I ran into a gentleman the other day and we were comparing notes.

He mentioned the app he uses to print to HP wireless printers. However, it only prints pictures from the Photo album.

A little later, I mentioned that it'd be nice if we could print from any screen, such as when looking at Flickr photos.

He said, aha, he does this by snapping a screen shot of the online photo, which means now it's in the Photo album and he can use the HP printing app on it.

Not the best resolution, but a clever trick.

I for one just got an iPhone and this was new to me.

Oh teach me great Apple fanboys that gain all knowledge by keeping the knob of Steve Jobs shiny.

Just like there is always someone bigger, faster or stronger there is someone that knows more. This forum make me laugh at the losers that input nothing helpful and hide behind a computer screen spitting smart alec comments. I could probably pick you guys out of a crowded mall.

One less than thrilling development to come out of the extreme popularity of the iPhone is a huge influx of new members to this board, many of whom, unfortunately, belong to a class of genius that would be better suited to communicating using a tin can with a string. Even they enjoy freedom of speech, though, so what everyone needs to do is just ignore them, as much as possible.

Don't make so many assumptions. I had no idea, and I'm glad the OP posted this very useful trick! What's wrong with someone posting useful information, regardless of how old it is?

Lighten up people.

When your in facetime you can move the window with your face around with your finger! Found that out on accident and was amazed! Also this thread is already been done, it's at the top stickey'd
