Well I just went to the Apple military/government employee store site and they charge sales tax to NJ. Ships in 1-2 weeks which is pretty good.
Whether you pay tax depends on where the item ships to. I've used the Apple military store numerous times in the past and I've always had to pay tax.
I have had best luck CALLING to get no tax, because I have paid and not paid as well. This TDY, no Tax...
My 15 March 64gb black wifi finally shows as shipped. I don't have any tracking yet but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Okay the 32G AT&T version arrived today. I figure I might as well keep the 64G since I've been using it, though I doubt I will use that much storage.
Apparently, they have a guy on a horse taking it across the country, then handing it off to someone in either an innertube or canoe and paddling across the Pacific or Atlantic.
It's slow. Really, really slow. It's been nearly a month since my order shipped and still hasn't made it into the European theater.
I'm glad I used APOBox.com then, hopefully it will only take a week once they forward it. It has been 3 days and it has yet to make it to Iowa's APOBox center. AAFES must be shipping parcel post, if so they are retarded. The last thing I shipped parcel post took 3 months to get to me in Japan. This is the worst shopping experience I've ever had, thanks AAFES!
The AAFES website shows that my iPad 2s have shipped. I didn't get an email notification with a tracking number. Does anyone know if AAFES provides that info?
Mine shows the same. They probably just changed everyone's to "shipped" so we stop bitching......for now.
Well after 30 days after being shipped out of New Jersey, my smart cover arrived via my APO AE box, nearly 50 days since ordering on Mar 11. Never again will I order from AAFES. Hope the rest of you get your stuff soon.
PS. They got half the order wrong. Sent me an HDMI dongle instead of the USB SD Card reader dongle. I'm not gonna bother trying to exchange it and wait another 2 months.

I am also in Okinawa and ordered from the ***** AAFES site. My order changed to shipped on the 22nd of April for a 64GB WiFi and 3G AT&T model. I called and talked to reps multiple times to try and get updates, and finally was able to geta tracking number. On the USPS website it says my package was accepted in Richmond, CA. today so hopefully it will be here by monday. I ordered on the 15th of March.
