Should also take this time to point out that Adaptec/Roxio/Sonic for the Mac and PC were handled completely separately so don't judge one by the other.
I already figured Mac side of Roxio's operation is more competent from all the glowing recommendations. I am not judging the product, I am protesting the company that caused me much misery in the past.

Hey everyone,

Just to put an little water on the piracy fire . . .

Some people need to burn music from a master and duplicate it completely intact. Often people want to make their own CDs from their own masters. There are a large number of musicians out there who use macs.

Copying CDs

I am using OS 10.6 snow leopard. To copy a CD you have to open the disk utility. Then go to the file menu, select new disk image from folder. Where you are missing it is that you have to change the file format to DVD/CD. It will then save a image of that CD that you can burn as many times as you want.

I have tried Toast, and I think it is JUNK! I have not had any successful burns with it. I recently copied several DVDs that I created for a friend on my iMac without any problems. When I tried to copy the same DVDs on a windows XP machine using Nero, I made several coasters. MACS are the king.
