Actually, good point, just to point out that this isn't just for Londoners. I'm coming from The West...dum dum duuuuuum...
And I'm flying in from the north-east.
Edit: Somehow that makes me think I should make an entrance that is a cross between the Durmstrangs' and the Beauxbatons' in Harry Potter.

Ooo how dramatic, really gives a post some sinister atmosphere.

"When all along it was Professor Peacock in the study ...dum dum duuuuuum!"

Hey, that sounds like fun. Maybe all us Denver, CO folk should have a little get together. There are like 6 or 7 of us...

You guys have fun. Post some pics afterwards.

I am in canda. Can't come. If I did, I would see iGary there with yourpowerbook and we can trade for my iMac..;) :p

I shall of course be in attendance ;)

Thanks for getting the ball rolling, BV.

I'm hoping to come too. Just got to sort the schedule, but it ain't looking too good:(

Given that I've only just joined, I'd feel like a gatecrasher. I can imagine some sort of imaginary wall between those with under 500 posts on one side, and those with above 500 on the other - occasionally throwing sandwiches or scotch eggs at the other group. :p

:( Bummer, I hope you can make it in the end. And as a kick up the arse to those who aren't sure about travelling from outside London – that's one member coming from Norway, and another possible from Jersey. :)

Course not – feel free to come along. There may be the throwing of scotch eggs, but it won't have anything to do with anyone's post count. :p

tell you what, I'll try and get a lift down off a mate. He wants to go shopping in London so I could hurry the ball along and try and come down.

It's not the traveling, it's these damn children. Apparently you can't leave a 3year old to fend for itself for two days, and the 13week old can't seem to go 4hrs without needing something. Pah, when I were a lad I was working down t'mine 27hrs-a-day since the week before I were born and eating nowt but gravel, and were rate thankful.

You were lucky...

Damn, I'd love to if it wasn't for the pesky matter of geography. I do miss London so...

Relatedly, perhaps us Texans might get together - there are a few of us on MR.

Come on, bf, it's only a bit of water.
That's probably what the Captain of the Titanic said...(minus the bf part)

Seriously, I'd love to, and I do have an aunt in London - but distance, work, and monies comspire against me.

Smoke one for me though mate...

Sorry I didn't mean you, I meant that people in the UK outside London should come, if Gekko could come from Norway and you hopefully could come from Jersey.

As for t'kids, should be happy in the shoebox in t'middle of t'road with the other 157 folk...;)

I hope not. Don't let that put you off from coming. It's open to everyone.
