My almost 11 month old baby got dose 1 of the Pfizer 3 dose shot. He had covid at 5 months. We didn't notice any side effects to the shot over the weekend.

We will be visiting my elderly parents on 2 months, we wanted to protect them as much as possible.

All I know is that wow, did the Moderna vaccine (two regular shots and one booster shot!) knocked me out physically for two days afterward after each shot. 😒

I felt really tired, knocked out by 9 pm (<12 hrs) after the first dose. My arm felt like someone strong punched it for 3 days. My glands were swollen in my armpit for 2 weeks. The second dose, just felt the same for about 2 days.

I also did not have COVID before the shot. My son had COVID 3 months ago, so I was worried, but I'm glad he didn't show any signs of even taking it.

My 39 year old son has COVID. He returned to the Midwest after visiting his brother on the West Coast. Three days later he wasn't feeling well, and took a home test, then went to be seen by his doctor. My wife and I had picked him up at the airport and driven him home, a 35 minute trip. He has 2 more days to quarantine, so we won't see him this weekend, a rare occurrence. So far, my wife and I, as well as his brother's family (2 kids) have not gotten sick. None of us have ever tested positive until now. Thankfully, COVID is now usually mild for fully vaccinated individuals like our son. He is already feeling better.

Bottom line: stay vigilant, it's not over! Well, it's endemic now, whether that's been declared officially or not. I'll be asking my doctor if I should get the new Omicron vaccine. I've had 2 booster shots already.

Off to work! As long as we don’t have any huge influx of cases in the next 12 hours...I should be staying in L&D! Far from the unit where the two cases are being treated. Let’s power through and get through this, people! It’ll come to an end some day. Sooner rather than later, hopefully.

STAY HEALTHY!
Here is the thing, what you are doing matters. Thanks for holding the line in L and D while the rest of us refresh news feeds. Stay safe, stick to the protocols, keep the team looped if anything shifts. Wishing you a calm shift and good outcomes today.

5 years later I’m not sure there are too many protocols in place!

Its largely considered a type of flu here. We're back to the situation that if someone is wearing a mask, they're out of place and being stared at.

Over the past year or so, a number of the Flynn family contracted covid, and it was largely milder then the flu

I didn’t get it until 2021 or 2022. Just grim for a couple of days. But yes largely like flu (including giving me a much worse secondary condition called Behçet’s disease. I get that with a cold, flu or similar.
Fortunately I get ill very rarely.
