Costco 2021 M1 MacBook Pro Orders/In store pick up

So I ordered the base 16" max from Costco on Friday. I just received an email saying my order will be delayed. Guess I wont be getting it next week.

"Due to increased volumes, you may see a slight delay in the processing of this order. Please be assured we are working to fulfill everything as quickly as possible. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has shipped"

I checked available pick up for the $3499 model MBP all over the country on Apple.com and BestBuy.com. Didn't find one. This model is just not anywhere. Costco confirmed to me today that the model is nowhere in Southern California. If that is any indication, we might be waiting a long time...

Yep that’s the same email I got for the same model. Starting to think Costco never got any of the Max models in their initial shipment from Apple and we are all essentially on a pre-order waitlist with them right now.

That model is on their website showing a delivery date of Tuesday, Nov 2. So, I don't know why you are getting that email.

I ordered the same as you (space grey). I took this screen shot last night. Now it’s not showing up again.

Yeah that’s the model I ordered (silver for me). Not seeing it listed either. 3-5 business days is encouraging IF that estimate is accurate for existing orders. Guess I’ll hope for a shipping notice next week.

So an update on my order. Today I checked the apple site and they had the model I wanted so I bought it (pick up tomorrow). Well, before I could cancel my Costco order it shipped so I guess I'll be returning the Costco one when it arrives, tracking number not active yet. Good news for the Costco orders though, I guess they might not be delayed.

I ordered my MBP 16 m1max 32gpu/ram 1tb ssd config on 10/22 with a ship to my nearest store week of 11/1. On 10/27 I received below email about processing delay:

“Thank you for your recent order with Costco.com.

Due to increased volumes, you may see a slight delay in the processing of this order. Please be assured we are working to fulfill everything as quickly as possible. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has shipped.”

I called Costco and they told me same as others here that there isn’t any delays coming out of Apple in their system. The email was for online processing. The account now doesn’t let me cancel but only shows review Button. My thoughts were that Costco buys a bulk of models and sells them but that was just my hopeful guess into hoping there couldn’t be a delay. It’s Friday evening and no shipping email. My guess is I get a 24hr notice before it arrives in my local store due to Costco.com shipping policy info for warehouses. I’m sure if it was ship to resident I would have a UPS update by now.

Haha I did the exact same thing today too. Tried to cancel my Costco order and it said I couldn’t because it already shipped. Haven’t seen a shipping notification or tracking number yet though. What a mess. I would have just waited for the Costco order next week if I hadn’t gotten that delay email.

Ordered 16" with M1 Pro from Costco on 10/22. No update yet on any estimated shipping date. Hoping I will get an estimated ship date by end of next week. Expecting it to be shipped before end of November. In the meantime my 2015 13" MBP is working perfectly fine and will survive till I get the new one.

What was their original stated expected ship date when you purchased it? The Pros seem more prevalent. You might get it before you expect it.

For me, when I ordered the 16" 10/32 with 32Gb RAM, Costco showed a beginning shipping date of Nov 1. I don't remember the syntax exactly, but something to the effect that Costco expected shipping for the MBP to begin the week of Nov 1. NOT an exact ship date. Neither did the website report an expected delivery date, as is usual with other items.

Picked up by UPS Wed 10/27 afternoon, 3 day select
Delivered afternoon Sat 10/30

Delivering to my house saved 3% tax vs. picking up at Costco with its higher tax rate.

When I ordered Costco site showed estimated shipping date as Nov 1. But few days later I got this email:


Thank you for your recent order with Costco.com.

Due to increased volumes, you may see a slight delay in the processing of this order. Please be assured we are working to fulfill everything as quickly as possible. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has shipped

Woohoo, just got email from Costco saying my order is shipped. Credit card also got charged. Got UPS tracking number for which UPS doesn't yet show any delivery date. Package should arrive in next few days.

I went to my local Costco Saturday and asked questions. They really don’t know more than Costco Online does. They only had 14inch demo out and an employee said they haven’t received any 16’s in. Another person in this thread ordered same day as me 10/22 and theirs shipped a day before mine. At least we know the nov 1st shipping week is accurate so far - you may get email tomorrow or late tonight.

Agree. But when you have an older MacBook to trade in, that's where it all falls apart. Costco does do trade-ins, but all they do is send you a "shop card", not reimburse your credit card for the amount of the trade-in. Love Costco, but I wanted my $620 trade-in credit to apply to the cost of my new MBP, so I ordered from Apple direct.
 
Got my shipping email this morning for my order that Costco had told me last week might be “slightly delayed”. Shipped right on time for the estimated Nov 1 date that was showing when I placed my order. I wish Costco hadn’t sent me that delay notice because I wouldn’t have bought one from Apple last week.

I have the same updated info on my UPS tracking. Showing delivery for Wednesday 11/3 to my local store.
