Just wondering what some of you think. Given the possible vehicle bluetooth issue, and any other issues with 8.0.2, do you think it is possible that we could see an 8.0.3 fairly soon??

Probably before or right after Yosemite release, mid to end of October.

Yeah, there are quite a few rumours pointing at iOS 8.1 at the end of the month. If that's the case then it's probably only 3 weeks away. I'm not aware of any iOS 8 bugs that are in desperate need of being fixed before then so I won't be holding my breath for a patch version before this minor.

    IMO 8.0.3 will never come.
Apple going to release OS X Yosemite and 8.1 on October 14th. ;) At least I believe that.

the 20th is the earnings calls.. i don't see the earnings call and then the next day there is a apple event.. if there is a event its on the 14th or the 28th.

iOS 8.1 and os x yosemite release is either 14th, 21st, or 28th..

Really? I am aware of several:

    • Health app randomly stops working. Only a hard reset will fix it.
    • Lots of issues with bluetooth not working with many different types of cars.
    • The keyboard randomly crashes; only a restart will fix this.
    • Plenty of folks are still having WiFi and LTE connection issues.

Just one of these issues is an annoyance, but if you're unlucky enough to be experiencing all of them, then I can see this getting old really fast. So far I only have the Health app and keyboard issues.

8.0.3 will be out soon... 8.1 beta will go through about a month of revision before its GM. so in the meantime minor fixes will come to the public with 8.0.3 -.5 most likely

It's entirely possible we'll see 8.0.3 in the next week, especially considering the existence of the iCloud Drive bug which is wiping peoples' documents which needs fixed urgently.

8.1 will only go through a month of beta (compared to about half a year for 7.1 and at least a few months if not more for 6.1 and previous x.1 releases), and in the meantime we'll get 3 bugfix releases in that period of a month?

8.0.3 - emergency fix if needed
8.1 - new features and bug fixes (apple pay, sms iPad)
8.1.1 - emergency fix if needed
8.2 - new features and bug fixes
8.2.1 - emergency fix if needed
8.3 new features and bug fixes
    8.3.1 emergency fix if needed

they could go with this pattern from now on possibly

    Could 8.0.3 be coming soon?

We should open new topic to post expected bugs in IOS 8.1 since Apple wouldn't release 8.0.3 ?!

We shouldn't wait until 8.1 , they have to fix Safari & WIFI issues immediately
