Having to find a new, collision-safe name is why I think it's unlikely they'll change it.If they change the name I hope they let you change the trigger word, it’s going to take a lot to untrain me from saying “hey Siri”.
I totally forgot about Annoying orange. Possible lawsuit in the works too?Simply name it Apple. Hey Apple! Apple! Hey! HEY APPLE.
Double-edged sword. There's too much invested in the name Siri to change it, but it's so tarnished in the public's eyes that I see little likelihood that people give it a second chance.
In my experience, I find Siri to be 99% useless. It's inaccurate, rarely understands anything you ask it, and more often than not just wants to send you to a web page for answers when it does.
There's little chance I ever take it seriously in the future, no matter what they say they've done with it.
Changing the name alone isn’t enough if the performance doesn’t match expectations. I used a simple prompt to compare how Gemini, Bing, and ChatGPT responded. Below, you’ll see the best of four results generated by Bing. Gemini completely misunderstood the prompt, and ChatGPT took over five minutes to produce a result. Apple’s Image Playground even asked me to change my description and try again.
“Create an image of an orange tabby cat driving a red car with an open sunroof. Beside it, a black-striped mackerel tabby cat sits in the passenger seat. The car is in motion, driving along a scenic country road.”
