The Samsung Gear S. It was yet another attempt at competition (aka getting there first) at the possibility of Apple's watch launching. They tried many times prior as well (Samsung Galaxy Gear (2013) Samsung Gear 2/Neo (2014) and the Samsung Gear S). Unsurprisingly, they all flopped. The Gear S was their first attempt at a Cellular watch. Not only was the battery life on Bluetooth mediocre, but turning on Cellular reduced it to a mere 2-3 hours STANDBY! Wifi had similar drain, about 2-4 hours. Reviewers panned it for being 'a giant smartphone on your wrist' which it indeed was--it was a full fledged smartphone in a watch body, complete with an app store and ecosystem.
