Unless your headphone jack isn't working, just ignore it.

Ya I guess that's an issue...Apple appt 2moro

I guess the water sensor is scraped or that is dirt??? Does anyone think that could be water damage?

trust me, just use a vacuum cleaner. i had the same thing on my 3gs, used vacuum cleaner on it and all that crap stuck in there came out.

I'm glad it's not something serious. Good thing you don't over obsess over your phone. Good thing you don't make a big deal about small stuff.

p.s. i would re-title the thread, "does this look infected?"

I wish there was a way I could ban you from commenting in my threads lol.

And it DOES affect headphones

The vacuum didnt work

I guess its scratched. Or water damage although Ive never seen water damage that is black.

i've had small pcs of lint build up inside the headphpne jacks of my ipod touch before. I used a guitar "D" string to get in there and fish it out. My headphone plug wouldn't seat all the way. Blowing compressed air inside did nothing as it just pushed the lint further into the jack.

You may not have a real issue and just some lint inside.

Another possibility. Another perspective. But whatever you do, do not put me on your ignore list as you'll miss all of my witty banter.

Your in Orange County, CA? So am I! Would love to meet sometime. I also have a LOT of guitar strings.

:D

Answered your PM....wouldnt ban you though haha

Well its either

1. water damage

2. scraped off

3. a really stuff piece of dirt that hates me.
