Well, it's almost here guys. In roughly 14 hours we may get our first glimpse at the machine we've all been enthusiastically anticipating for X amount of months. On the other hand, the Keynote may come and go without any mention of our hallowed desktop. None of us like to consider the latter scenario, but it is just as real a possibility as us getting our hands on the new iMac this week. This thread is designed to be the conglomerate of the other notable threads on this forum that have been silently counting down to WWDC. Here we discuss the latest rumors in the mill, pertaining to:

- The likelihood of the iMac's appearance at the Keynote
- The leaked price raise
- The possible standard inclusion of an SSD
- Retina
- The possible exclusion of the optical drive
- The potential mac-wide redesign (which is oddly not talked about a lot, but still very viable.)
- Shipping slips as WWDC approaches
- Any other iMac related information

Mostly this thread is a central and focused locus in which we can anticipate the Keynote address and, of course, get very excited.

What are we all going to do with our new iMacs? Personally, if it does get released this week, I'm going to celebrate the end of my uni exams by shutting my self away with my 27" and playing of alot of Diablo, as well as devoting a good week to Logic Pro. I'm sure my girl friend will be as ecstatic about the release as I am. ;)

What will we all do if WWDC comes and goes without any mention of the iMac? This I have not prepared for.

Are there those who are not excited whatsoever for the impending Keynote? Why so?

Does the fact that there is a new CEO change what will be addressed in the Keynote?

14 hours!

I REALLY hope that Apple at least updates the iMacs with Ivy Bridge and NVIDIA graphics.

I need a computer for my After Effects and video production work. My current MacBook Pro (from 2009) has no discrete graphics and I could really benefit from something better than a Core 2 Duo. Essentially I need something better than a MacBook Pro but not as expensive as the Mac Pro (assuming it is updated)

I've been trying to decide whether I should build my own hackinstosh which would have more powerful hardware, or not take the risk and go with the iMac.

After Effects and the Adobe Suite in general favors NVIDIA cards, so i'm hoping that the iMac gets a nice update.

It obviously depends, but from memory they have a habit of saying "available today"

I think the rumors of Apple shipping hardware to stores may support this.

Has anyone visited any Apple stores in the last day? Does there seem to be a buzz going around that suggests a refresh? Floor-stock reshuffling etc.?

I was there this weekend I didn't notice anything. It seems that several publications are agreeing that Apple will update the macbook pro, macbook air and Mac pro. Very little talk of the iMac recently. I want to see the iMac this week whether it is a Press release refresh or along with other hardware.

I've heard that in the back of some Apple stores the cages, where the expensive products are kept (Mac Pros/iMacs/MacBook Pros), have become pretty bare.

At least you guys get to spend the nigh sleeping and wake up to read news. It's already 8 AM and June 11 where I live so I get to wait for 11 more hours! So excited! :D

It's under 11 hours now

I've got my iPad on a timer countdown brightly displayed staring at me :)

*joke*

I really hope we get an iMac related leak to take us through the next 10 hours. c'mmooonnn!

I won't be able to watch live. About how long will it take for the video to be uploaded to Apples site like in the past?
