Well, I'll dammed, in 6 years of driving, I just got my first traffic ticket; ever. It was for going 72 in a 60.

That was the most BS pull over ever, why:

1. Going with traffic flow: check
2. Everyone goes beyond 60 on I-610: check
3. I was the only car among a pack of trailers, so it's easier for me to pull over: check

I am pissed. Worst thing, the court date is for the 23rd, and I am leaving the country the 11th (this has been planned for 6 months already, no turning back). The officer, didn't say anything but license and registration. Then he said, 72 on 60, and gave me nothing to believe him (ie the actual image of the radar).

I did not talk to the officer at all, just told him to give me a sec on my license and then signed the ticket (which I know is not admission of guilt, but receipt of ticket). After signing, he told me you are free to go, and I left. Any chance of getting the dam thing revoked in court?

Nope.
BTW they are not required to show you the image of the radar. Chances are based on the above list you were speeding and they got you for it fair and square.
Generally you can take defense driving, or differed adjudication and that call all be done over the phone after it ticket is in the system. They will just tell you how much money you need to send them and having you sign some things.
That your you can go to the court house and just sign the paper work there and pay them the money and you are done.
This coming from experienced with multiple traffic tickets, 6 at last count.

first off, what do you mean you are leaving the country? you can't. you have a WW game to run.

second, i think there are big difference from state to state. In NY if the officer doesn't show it's automatic dismissal of the charge. or at least it was the only time i contested a ticket (completely bogus one too). the officer wasn't there and the judge didn't even want to hear my story. while I was waiting for my turn, the majority of cases were dismissed because the officer wasn't there.

1. I still have internet where ever I go, so the WW will still be run ;) trust me, I wouldn't let it get to me.

2. Thanks for that info....
