Ordered this morning from CPW for a store pick up .

Just checked and i have a tracking number . and it is currently showing as on route to delivery branch .

I really hope i dont have to wait till saturday to pick it up from the store though as there website says .

Anyone else know if store pick ups will be ready before then?
 
Well I ordered today at 6.45pm over the phone, surprisingly my iPhone has been despatched with DHL tracking number!
 
Seriously? What iPhone did you order? I guess there may be some hope that mine will be dispatched then as I ordered online at 4:55.

Yeah I would think so, I only got my confirmation email a short while ago despite ordering over 4 hours ago.
 
I also placed an order online this morning after it was announced that they were taking orders. As I'd had trouble with an order on Monday I phoned them to make sure it had gone through today, and was told they'd had system problems and couldn't even FIND the order (despite me getting the email, text, and being able to see my order online). He took the order again then and there, and it went instantly to stage 2 online. Checking just now it's in stage 3 and I have a tracking number for tomorrow.

Moral of the story - I don't think orders placed online this morning actually worked properly so I'd phone them asap tomorrow if you did and you're still at stage 1.
 
Hmm, still at stage 1. No response from their online customer service department. Think I'll be phoning them up at 8am tomorrow to cancel the order and get a refund, then go out and try and buy one. This is turning into such a joke.

Please can someone tell me how I track my order on-line? I have the fulfillment order number, but if I click on order tracking within the email I got sent it takes me to a "managing my billing on-line" page where I need to register with account details that I don't have yet.

Please help!
 
Seems the only way to talk to customer service about orders done online is by emailing them. Thanks for the link Ryanmanu, I'm still stuck on stage 1. What is more annoying is if they don't email back tonight I won't be able to cancel and just go and buy one tomorrow, so will have to wait.

This has to be one of the worst mismanaged product launches ever.

Tip: Don't let them take anymore money off you and don't phone them on their 0870 numbers which they enjoy keeping you on hold for long periods of time for.

Yeh, saw this at about 5 mins to 5pm and then saw the "to get it delivered tomorrow you must order by 5pm" bit and think I made the fastest online transaction ever.

Only had the confirmation email so far though, just hoping for a tracking number sometime tonight though.

'All pay monthly tariffs for iPhone3G come with unlimited visual voicemail, data and Wi-Fi and are subject to an 18 month minimum term agreement. Please note: iPhone3G orders placed after 3.30pm, 10th July will not be delivered on July 11th. Normal delivery will be next working day or select a Saturday delivery option.'

I ordered 1 o'clock, have been told by CPW tho that they will definitely deliver tomorrow, despite no tracking details, just one measly confirmation email.

this bit blew my mind too, just try making a complaint tho, you can only do it once you've been given a pin number!

imagine the irony if your complaint was you don't have a pin number!

Im in a village and 15 minutes in either direction are Andover and Basingstoke. I was torn between the two but recently got a text from a friend working at the Basingstoke store telling me they have 52 iPhones, as I have no idea how many Andover have (smaller town than Basingstoke) I think I'll head to Basingstoke, I'll get there for 6.30am and wait until it opens at 9am.....atleast the mall it is in opens at 7am for walkers etc.

really? im surprised then as they still have in stock especially after the o2 fiasco we witnessed on monday

Defo a big marketing ploy, they want to seem cool and create a stir with ppl outside their store queuing so everyone on the early morning commute can see them lol
 
I ordered around 4ish today over the phone with CPW, and just checked the order tracking link. As of 20.49, my 16GB iPhone is 'On route to delivery branch'.
Picking it up in store tomorrow when it opens at 8.02.

Yeh, when I ordered just before 5 it was saying that any orders before 5 would be delivered by 11th. I then went out and when I got back online later it had changed to the message that you posted.

Just got to wait till tomorrow when they open and then see what options I have and where to go from there.
 
Failed On-line Order w/CPW

Well, the order I placed on-line at around 11:45am yesterday remained in stage 1.

So I spoke to a guy at CPW this morning who was extremely helpeful. It turns out that Amex rejected the 1p transaction that would have been made to check the card details :)eek:), so yesterday's order was stuck.

The good news is that he was able to secure me a 16Gb (just before the stock ran out again), for delivery tomorrow. Now in stage 2, so I am now slightly more hopeful that it will actually turn up.

Overall, I have to say that the service I have had from CPW has been excellent (Amex's fraud detection is obviously not their fault and, given the workload they must have right now, I can't blame them for not following up an individual case like this). If I get it tomorrow, I will be quite satisfied. :)
