I was offered a possible trade by my friend he as a late 2007 black macbook 2.2ghz and 2gb of ram and 160gb hd
vs
my 2.16 ghz 1gb of ram and 160 gb hd mine is mid 07

he just wants a white macbook now.

I personally like the blackbooks much better then the white ones which I find pretty ugly honestly. Though my favorite model was the aluminium ones from '08. If you can verify that the blackbook is in good shape and is working normally then I would go for that trade. Thats just my opinion.

update
top case replaced around the screen along with the palm rest. They dont fix the bottom case so I am happy regardless
