0%, IMO. The iPhone is supposed to be a more "serious" device than those two iPods, which are mostly aimed at teens.
If you thought people were indecisive before with just black and white, can you imagine if Apple were to release a series of colored iPhones?

Nothing says "STEAL ME" like a brightly colored device that is easy to spot. I prefer remaining relatively low-key.
Why's everyone so negative to colours? I'd love to have them as long as it felt good and didn't look as if it was coloured in with a felt tip pen then they should be alright

Somethings are meant to have classy colours (white and black)...
Different colours would ruined the classy style of the iPhone. If you want to add some swagger, get a stylish case....
Exactly. If you feel the need to carry around a hot pink iPhone, there numerous hot pink cases to choose from.
I concur with the other posters in this thread: I hope it doesn't become available in multiple colours. It looks good in both white and black. It is just classy.
Then why buy an Apple product?
The only other color I would buy would be a ProductRED version.

I don't get them either. It seems like some people don't like having choices, that said I don't think it's likely Apple will add more colors.
Apple's designs and aesthetics are one of the reasons why the brand is so popular today. Being as it's the iPhone, which is undoubtedly the company's most profitable product, they'll think twice before doing this. With the exception of the iPods (aimed at the appropriate demo.), the Macs, iPhones and iPad are all uniformed. Classy is key.

Sorry. I didn't buy my iPhone as a status symbol. I don't flaunt it around screaming "LOOK AT ME, I HAVE AN iPHONE!"
I use a full body conservative case. Nobody has any idea what I use, nor do I care.
I'm not saying that Apple products are status symbols. A long time ago they might have been, but they're pretty competitively priced now.
I'm saying that if you want to really be low key, the color of your Apple products won't make difference.
my fiancé has pink. i have a bright red color so someone can think STEAL ME. I also have a bright color because i flaunt around apple products which are status symbols and i want everyone to know i have an iPhone and LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME. i feel the product wasn't aimed at teens, so i decided to myself. i couldn't find a fugly color case so i just made my phone fugly. enjoy your black and white
