Why the "I hope not" replies? OP didn't say have these other colors to replace black and white, just an addition.

Apple isn't going to increase the overall number of phones just to add colors, so in a sense, colors would indeed replace some of the black and some of the white.

I said "hope not" because I would rather see Apple using the time, money and resources on something other than colors that can easily be accomplished with a case.

Even though most posters in this thread are conceding that it will definitely be a choice between black or white, there are many out there who expect a silvery aluminum backside. Who knows, maybe even liquid metal.

There are all sorts of possibilities, although I do not believe a revisiting of nano-chromatic color choices is even close to being reality. What a nightmare it would be to maintain supply of so many choices.

Wouldn't buy the red phone, but it looks good. The pink one is horribly done and makes me rage. Bad.

Red is my favorite color, and that Red looks splendid! I'd love a ProductRED version. I had a red iPod Nano that I eventually handed down to my sister, and I absolutely loved it. A brush metal aluminum colored red would be my ideal iPhone.

Really, y'all, if the OPTION of a colored iPhone (not a requirement to buy) makes you "cringe" and "rage," then I'd hate to know what makes you seethe with absolute anger...

i hope not the waiting time for a black iphone takes weeks sometimes months after launch for everyone to get one, could you imagine how long you would have to wait if they produced multiple colours?
