The shuffle definitely has a niche, because it's so hard to damage and so wearable it's great for clipping on and forgetting about. Wonderful little units.

There's probably only a 50-50 chance it's even on.

He might just be wearing it to avoid answering questions from journalists.

My son told me this today. "Hey dad, there's a new trend, Ronaldo is wearing an iPod shuffle." I would like to know what brand of headphones he is wearing.

I still use an iPod shuffle too when I’m in the garden or cutting the lawn. Personally I think touch screens make for a poor interface for iPods with this sort of usage.

I do use my iPhone in the car but as far as iPods go, my favourite of all time is the iPod mini.

My iPod classic is still my car machine. When trying not to kill yourself with distracted driving, being able to skip tracks without looking down is great. When I set off on a trip I just switch my iPod to shuffle everything and my entire library is good to go.

I still have a shuffle I will use for workouts as well. I'll be sad when its battery goes to hell, but for now it lasts longer than a session so it's fine.

I still use an iPod Nano, iPod classic and the original iPod. No distractions from a phone if I'm working on a task and listening to music or podcast.
