Was it just normal wear, or were you pressing while rotating to clear a sticky crown?

How often does this work and when's the last time this has worked for you?If you had Apple Care + , you could do the telephone or online chat, and they could have put a hold on a credit card and sent you a replacement that you then used the box to send that one back. It beats the hassles of stores for me.
My watch when returned from the 3rd party repair company came in the same package. However my sea was still hanging out of the crown and it was not a replacement or a repair, but the watch in the same condition they sent it off in...![]()
Got the return box last Friday, dropped at FedEx In Saturday. New watch arrived today, Thursday. Less than a week turn around!
You have to call Apple Care and have them process it. You can't do it any other way. The store cannot do it.How often does this work and when's the last time this has worked for you?
I took my watch to the Store and they said they'd mail it out and I said "No way José!"
Took it to Best Buy where I bought the watch AND Care + and they said "Can't help you, go back to the Apl Store.
The guy at the geek station said that they "would be more than happy to mail it out to some crap 3rd party repair shop and charge me a repair fee."
I said "whatever," had him send it out then four days later I'm called in to the store and the report is "Repair was declined, no parts were used to repair your product."
Are you kidding me?
If all I had to do was call them and have them out a hold on my card, send me a new one and I mail back the watch with the seal dangling out of the crown, that would certainly save me 100 miles in gas and I'm driving an H1.

Well, you still may have to go to the store to trouble shoot, but if Apple Care doesn't ask you to, then don't.Then that's what I'll do! Thanks for the help!!
So in the future... don't go to the store.
