Crucial 4GB Memory Upgrade Problem: Potential Apple Issue?

Ya I have the same problem in my 2.6 pernyn. I bought 4gb crucial ram via amazon for 114.99. Havent tried one of the sticks with the stock ram but I'm figuring it will work. Im just gonna return it back to amazon and get owc. Or should I get the chips exchanged? Last time I buy cruial.

Just received the replacement memory from Crucial, popped the 2x2GB sticks in and it worked just fine. Apparently the supposed "Apple" problem is really just a problem with certain lot numbers of memory Crucial has been selling.

Ditto here (2.4GHz Penryn MBP).

Yea I ordered it Friday I believe 2 sticks
$99.98 with 2x15.00 rebate.

I got the ram today, works great..
