Was just curious, does the iPad have a regular hard drive or Would it be more like a SSD or like a flash drive or a key drive? I was just wondering how all the information is stored. 

    Thanks for a reply

It does not have a hard drive. It's solid state memory.

I find it hard to believe that the OP is really serious with this question but, here is a great place to find info:

And yes, I was serious about asking this question! So it is solid state memory then. Isn't that what is also used in these portable key drives like I mentioned in my original post? Thanks for the replies.

Well, in the time it took you to post this thread, you could have simply gone to the publicly available link and gotten the answer from the source, but okay if you like taking a Sunday drive on Saturday, nothing wrong with that.

It's the same Flash memory that is used in cheap, slow, portable key drives and in expensive super-fast SSD drives. There is definitely not a key drive inside the iPad and most probably not an SSD drive; the Flash memory is likely directly on the motherboard.
