I've noticed that some people have this in their sig files:

    iPhone 3G S⃣

and I'm curious about how that's done! It's really cool! I'm assuming a specific combination of keys but haven't been able to figure it out....

Um you did it in your post? I'm sure we have all just been copying and pasting eachother's. That is how I put it in my signature. :)

Thanks! I did copy-and-paste for this thread but I wondered how it was originally created....

    It's a "S&#8 4 1 9;", but take out the spaces. It's a Unicode "combining enclosing keycap" 0x20E3 - works like accent grave on an "e".

Embed that code in your reply, then do preview - it should display correctly. (no quotes and no spaces in the number 8419)

Slightly OT, but I think it looks better with the lower case S. Like this iPhone 3G s⃣

    Rather than iPhone 3G S⃣

But also, it doesn't render properly on iPhones or on Windows OS. Just FYI.

Now that we know how, here's a dumb question: Why? (It does look cool but is there some sort of Stairway to Heaven backwards meaning?)

Is this a Mac only thing? I just see a regular capital S. I'm using Firefox on Vista.

I'm kinda interested now haha, can someone take a screenshot or a pic of this cause I'm on widows too and it just looks like a small box with "20E3" inside.

Attached is a screenshot of my signature. btw - you need to use the decimal 8419, if you're using the html I posted earlier. It's a unicode font, and honestly I don't know how XP deals with them.

If you are on Windows you should try looking at it in IE8 it looks like an oversized box or U hahaha. I demand Microsoft issue a patch immediately to resolve issues rendering the iPhone 3G-S logo. Yes I was bored...
