Current delivery times for custom built? Are they arriving sooner?

Hello - just wondering if people are experiencing sooner or on time delivery times for MBAs? I only ask because I’m travelling during the current delivery times!

Im looking for starlight. I think the midnight ones are more delayed. And considering 16GB/512 and undecided on processor.

I ordered my custom built midnight within an hour of release, and was told aug. 2 to 8. I got it July 21. So, considerably early. But in 15 years give or take of ordering from Apple online that’s a first time I’ve seen them early. These days it’s difficult to predict, but they do a good job of telling you when shipped and who is the carrier so you can arrange a hold with the carrier if need be.

I ordered mine on July 9 (8/24/512 Space Grey) and it's still 'Picked Up' by DHL with a August 4 delivery estimate, so they aren't all arriving early.

Ordered July 18th, Midnight 8/10/16GB/2TB, it was originally slated for August 9-16, but it's now preparing to ship, so maybe it's actually ahead of the curve by a week or so? I guess it depends...

I ordered mine on 7/8/2022. It shipped on 7/22/2022. I received it on 7/28/2022. It was supposed to be delivered between August 2nd - August 9th. Could be a case of underpromising and overdelivering.

I ordered an 8/16/1TB Midnight of the first day of preorders and got a ship date of 8/9- 8/14. But canceled 7/24 and reordered in Starlight and got a ship date of 8/10-8/17. Just checked and my order has been charged and prepped to ship. So some orders are shipping earlier than the ship estimates. (sorry had the wrong dates was a month off ....fixed)

So we ordered the same config around the same time. I had my dates off by a month and quickly glanced at my calendar and forgot it was on next month's looking things up for work.

Ordered a custom Silver 10/16/1tb on August 1st, estimated delivery time of August 17th-24th. Will see what happens, would be great to get it by the end of next week instead. Will keep you posted!
