You could have gotten $262 from Best Buy with their buy back program. Judging from the amount you received from PowerON i am assuming we had the same model in the same condition. (16GB, good condition)... I was shopping around for prices.

i sold mine ofr $275 net minus shipping. 16 GB ATT iPhone. no warranty.

ATT 16GB 3GS
Excellent condition, with cables and original box

I've see prices being higher here than normal since so many now will be keeping their 4's, with Rogers discontinuing their previous upgrade policy. People are having to pay way more to upgrade and they are passing that cost on to the buyers of their 4.

Iphone 3gs cheap but also broken

Wow, these prices for iphones are high. I tried selling my iphone 4 on craigslist Chicago for $400 and it didnt pan out, but I managed to sell my wifes broken 3gs 16gb for $93 something at tradeinspot.com

I assume the resale price will drop considerably tomorrow when everyone receives their iPhone 4S s.
Anyone looking for an iPhone 4 may get a deal tomorrow.

Smart move. I like how gazelle offers 30 days to ship. Time it right and you are in like flynn - without the CL hassle.

Posted my software unlocked 32GB 4 up on Craigslist about 2 times going from $450-$480. Kept getting low ballers who wanted to trade me iPod touches and cash :(

Going to try and wait for the craze of selling phones to die down a bit. If you're having trouble reselling your 4, just wait it out. Patience is virtue. Right now, everyone's desperate to get rid of their 4's. And it's annoying that customers want cheap, CHEAP prices. Remember, it's STILL an iPhone 4 for cryin' out loud. I say the value can only increase, if anything after tomorrow's date. I am NOT selling my phone for less than $400, being that it's unlocked. That is how much unlocked 4's are going for that are 16GB models. I'll just wait it out. Hope my stubbornness pays off.

I just sold my 32gb black on ebay, jailbroke and unlocked via ultrasnow for $410, im happy.

I wish I can get those already seen high price your guys are selling, I have been searching for a used iphone 4 16gb for a while, my target is $350. But for a long time watching ebay and local Kijiji, I can't even get one seller to sell under $400

I just purchased a practically new 16gb black iphone 4 w/apple care til 2013 for $200 (upgrade from my 16gb 3gs). Someone also offered me a 16gb black with original packaging no warranty for $220.

Also, I talked to someone on Clist who is selling a 32gb white iPhone 4 for $275-all original packaging.

Im in Miami. Most people are asking ridiculous prices like $350 for a 16gb black. My budget is tiny and with the 4S now out I could've just paid $199 to AT&T and dealt with the contract before I pay $350 for a used non-warranty phone.

Where do you live? Some of it depends on the market. If it's flooded w/iphone 4's you're likely to get a better deal. Orlando and Miami are prime places to get an iphone for a good price b/c it's AT&T land, lots of middle to upper class who have iphones, and people here who travel in and out of the country and have to sell their phone. You might have to put in work. I texted about 20 different people (using google voice of course ;) )from craigslist. If you're somewhere like the midwest where everyone uses sprint it'll be harder but try near a college campus-they're also usually desperate. Also, the Verizon one goes a bit cheaper than the AT&T one (for obvious reasons).

Got 550 for 32g black that had apple warranty on it through my local craigslist. Sold about a month ago. Met at local ATT store to do transaction.

Apple care only lasts another extra year.

Unless the person just bought an iPhone recently with apple care that's 2 years total warranty till 2013.

So ummh possible

I live in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. There are lots of iphone 4 on Kijiji (not as much as in big cities like Toronto), but everybody wants at least $450 or more for a locked one or $500 or more for unlocked one (iphone 4). On ebay, it isn't much cheaper if you add the shipping.

My Ebay listing is ending today on a Verizon Black 32GB in mint like new condition. So far with 6 1/2 hours to go, bidding is up to $302.05.

I wonder what it will end up selling for at the closing bell

For those that wonder why there is still a value for "old technology" many people are still in their contracts and cannot afford the 4S off contract pricing, and they want an iPhone. These prices are STILL a lot cheaper than full retail.

Wow, I'm kinda shocked how much everyone is getting for their 4s. I wasn't planning on upgrading, but considering that it looks like I can basically get the 4S for free (after reselling my 4), I'm seriously starting to reconsider.

Think about it - if I wait til next year til upgrade, I probably won't get much of anything for my 32GB 4...but if I sell it now....
