Stunning color for sure. I am rocking a white iPhone 15 pro max but may go back and buy a used 14pro in pUriel just to have

Yes! First iPhone since the X that I kept for 2 years. I am the Iup program, so usually upgrade yearly. Wanted to keep the deep purple for part of my collection. Beautiful device.

I still have a 13 Pro Max and really don’t know what to do this month about upgrading. Not sure whether to get a 16 Pro or a 15 Pro with a discount as there’s so little between these phones for the past few years. We seem to pay a significant premium for something slightly better and o only tend to use my iPhones for a couple of years. All this talk about AI which won’t be available in Europe anyway makes we wonder if it’s even worth getting the 16 Pro. I don’t need the latest and greatest to impress myself or anybody else so I will see what the keynote brings and what the proposed prices are and go from there I think.

Same y’all… I got a white iPhone XR and using an iPhone 11 clear case on it as stores do not sell them for the XR anymore. What color is your iPhone?

Contemplating buying the natural or blue titanium iPhone 15 Pro or a purple iPhone 14 Pro Max… depending on available deals.
I actually had to give my XR away because it was a work phone and I quit my last job. Bought iPhone 11 as a replacement because it was the cheapest option and going to hold on to this one as long as I can. My XR was black and my 11 is black too. The phones are practically similar. Using my old case on this new phone and the case was actually iPhone 11 case. This 11 has one extra camera which for me is not important. Haven’t noticed other differences. Maybe there are some on paper.

Yea man both these iPhones are the same size, the newer 11 also had U1 chip inside the A13 Bionic. You can use an 11 case on the iPhone XR as everything besides the camera is still the same size, you just have to see the difference whereas the camera opening is bigger. An 11 can fit into an iPhone XR case but the camera opening will be smaller.

As it is an underrated iPhone and the 12s came out, stores no longer carry the iPhone XR cases specific to this model; more people use the 11 over the iPhone XR. You have to go online to get an iPhone XR case specifically with the smaller camera cutout; like Amazon. There are still some iPhone 11 cases you can buy from a department store like Target, but if you’re looking at TJX they only have cases for iPhone 12 and later; even the sale section does not carry them for older iPhones anymore. I still see more iPhone 11 Pro cases though; but are only great if you still need to find one for an iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.

I have similar thoughts about upgrading from my 12 Pro - whose colour I forget as it is in a Snakehive leather case with impressive patina ;)

Waiting for the news on the 9th & early reviews to decide whether to stick, seek out a discounted 15 Pro or go in with a 16 or 16 Pro.

As for AI, will that be available in the UK? You mention it won't be available in Europe, is that just EU?

I think that is a good plan 👍.
The UK seems to follow the same guidelines as the EU on many things still as we have shared consumer laws that the UK helped decide along with other nations. I assume AI will not be available here in the UK either, but I actually have no idea. There is talk that the UK isn't going to get the third party App Stores that the EU countries are getting, so maybe we will get AI? I am not overly bothered if we do or not, but I guess we'll find out next week 😀

How's the SE treating you in 2024? Looks good, and I really like that leather case.
It’s a brilliant little phone. I don’t like large screens and love the small form factor and Touch ID.
I am not a heavy phone user so I only use it for communication so not social media apps or anything like that installed and it won’t be updated to ios18.

The case is from Ryan of London and is starting to patina very nicely. It’s a really nice quality case as the buttons are really good.

13 Pro Max brand new from Apple Store in June. Went in for a battery replacement and my battery sparked so they had to toss it in the fire safe and give me a new phone.

Honestly this has been my favorite phone!

That’s awesome, I should probably disconnect from social media like that as well. Although I don’t use it very much, so probably wouldn’t be as hard as I think.

It looks so cool to see the smaller phones these days. I do still miss Touch ID. Seems like so long ago that was offered.

Oh yes Ryan London. Really great quality leather case. Enjoy the process. It would look great!

Stilll rocking my 11 pro max. Imho, this as Apples best ever iPhone, and the most comfortable with a great size form. Running 17.6.1 just great - with 4 days battery life!
4 days battery life? Apple would be shouting out that spec at the top of their lungs...

Everything You Need to Know About iPhone Batteries

Battery life is another important component when comparing iPhone models. The review specialists at AnandTech reviewed the battery life of each iPhone model from the last few years. They based their comparison on the amount of time a phone would be able to leverage a full charge when on WiFi. Their results are below:

  • iPhone 11 Pro Max – 15.58 hours
______________________________________________________

While the iPhone XS Max lasted a pretty good 10 hours and 38 minutes on our test, the iPhone 11 Pro Max's battery lasted an average of 11 hours and 54 minutes, which lands the 11 Pro Max on our list of phones with the best battery life.

Indeed, really 4 Days, that would be really outstanding! o_O
Obviously an incredibly light phone user. I have a 13 and I can drain the battery with 7 hours of use per day. I normally end the day with around 20-30% battery remaining though.

13 Pro. Before that I had a X.

Thinking seriously about going with a 16 pro for the camera and AI.
Alright, let’s see on Monday about that. There will be more information about Apple intelligence and iOS 18!

Running iOS 18 beta on the iPhone 13 Pro?
