Hi all,

I want to propose creating a sticky or forum subfolder for current and new software being developed for PPC.
To give some examples:

1. wicknix's mini apps and browser and pale moon
2. Kameron's TenFourFox
3. My own ( if I can get the "owners" approvals ) - Q/K-ju for PPC, YouView, Simple Mp3 Player (Mine), Chicken of the VNC ( SunSourceTom I'd like to help if it's ok with you, LeopardRebirh and PPCAppStore )
4. SunSourceTom's Leopard Rebirth and PPCAppStore ( Sticky the current thread of Leopard Rebirth )
5. rebuild of openssl
6. Leopard Webkit
7. Theming CorePlayer ( I'm trying, it's image based, I think we can give it a more leopard look )

@SunSourceTom
Create a SnowLeopardRebirth using one of the theme apps available ( ex. Magnifique )

Best regards,

Why did I start to work when everything became Object-Oriented and left my C knowledge to rot .
Thanks upfront for looking in all of these.

On what qemu version would you build Q/K-Ju for PPC ?
What version of Chicken of the VNC ? Youview ?

If you feel up to it , Cyberduck is also on the demand list but my Java knowledge is nil , see here #28

Hi Lastic,

Answering in order:

1. Q/K-ju is based on the last source released.
I'm using qemu versions pre-built for PPC. I can use any available because I'm taking
an slightly different path which is to use VNC to display ( lowers cpu drastically ). I'm
merging Chicken inside Q.
Also building it for Intel

2. As for chicken i'm building version 2.0b4 ( I'm also building it for Intel 32/64bit )

3. YouView is based on the last source available also 0.6.1 ( I'm also building this for Intel ).
In Leopard it requires re-linking with webkit for now.

4. I can take a look at Cyberduck. I'll need to find the source code.

Could you point me to the source-code, please ?

There is a Chicken (not of the VNC) for PPC 2.2b2 here :

https://sourceforge.net/projects/chicken/files/

svn co https://svn.cyberduck.io/tags/release-x-y(-z)

Hi Dronecatcher,

Yes, it's using quicktime for playback and it's playing mp4 without any problems.
I found quicktime 7.7 for leopard, are you using this version?
In snow leopard it's using quicktime x, i'm trying to find if I can force a specific version to
see if using snow leopard's quicktime 7 is faster/lighter on resources.
