Come to Europe! Cycling across Northern europe is very easy and nice. Cycling on the roads of Italy and Spain however, is rather dicey. Cycling is a good way of seeing London though. Highly recommend it. PM me if you want tot k now a bit more.

Funny you say that. We are leaving to go backpacking in Switzerland next week for a month. Can't wait!:D

The ONLY good thing about living in Edinburgh is how close it is to great MTB spots. In a 15 minute ride I can be in the countryside and 30 minutes later half way up a hill. In a car there are about five MTB centres within 90-minutes, though I prefer the DIY approach. In Scotland the access laws mean you can ride anywhere, even on private property. Buy a map, find an empty spot with plenty of contour lines, and get hucking!

Plenty of really sticky mud in winter, too. And ice. Sometimes the mud freezes. Keeps you on your toes. Or sometimes arse.
