This was posted already HERE, but OP used the most "non-related" title possible. I want to make it easier for everyone to find it so we don't have 3K threads

Cydia seen to be having issues today (based on twitter and other Forums around). I did basic troubleshooting on my devices with no luck so I am guessing it is a server issue.

What i've done so far:
* Clear all user added sources
* Clear /var/lib/ for all packages sources
(re-spring and reboot after each one)

Here is a shot of the error:

---------- SOLUTION -------------------

Using SSH or iPhoneExplorer (PhoneDisk or DiskAid(paid) or anything you use to navigate your iphone file system, even iFile will work).

1) Go to: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ - edit Cydia.list file -> (if you have "elpelle6" repo, remove that one) if you don't have elpelle6 repo them remove all sources there. (file should be empty). -> save the changes.

2) Go to: /var/lib/apt/lists/ - remove all packages related to "elpelle6" repo, if don't have elpelle6 installed remove all packges there except for the /Partial folder

Reboot iDevice

I am not sure but error gone after I removed elpelle6.com/repo/
I manually deleted the Release and package files of elpelle6 in var/lib/apt/lists
and edited cydia.list in /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d

removing elpelle6 worked for me as well.

Thanks!

Hey guys first post here but a long time reader :)

Any ways I have this issue today aswell. I used to get so many errors in cydia then I thought it needs sorting "Wrong thing to do :("

I deleted all the files in here "var/lib/apt/lists" except the "Partial" folder.

And now no matter what I did I keep getting the error in the first post. Is there a fix for it or servers went down or something. Help!

I can't live without cydia :( I am a NO ROCK person by the way lol..

How do I remove the ellpelle source if I cant get any access into my cydia?

SSH into it.

root.

/private/etc/apt/sources

Open cydia.list and delete the line with elpelle and delete the empty space it leaves.

Never had ElPelle6 repo.....

I didn't have elpelle6 repo like other users are reporting, however the issue was resolve for me after I repeated my original troubleshooting.

Reboot iDevice

reopen cydia, should work now

Edit ----

I was able to re-add the repo I was using one by one with no issues.

Let me know if this work for you as well and I will add it to the OP so everyone can see it quickly.

I removed a few, but not all, of the repos in cydia.list and things seem to be working for me as well.

I did not have openSSH installed before this issue, now I cannot install it to SSH into the phone to fix the problem.

how can I fix this issue without being able to install openssh?

iPhone Explorer, iPhoneDisk, iFile (if you installed before this issue), DiskAid (paid app).

None of those app required SSH installed.

The problem is I had never SSHd before so I don't have any of these packages installed on my phone, and with this issue I cannot install anything else.

Do I hafta just wait out the issue for elpelle and cydia to fix it?

These program run in your computer not in your iPhone (except for iFile), get iPhoneDisk HERE - FREE or get iPhoneExplorer HERE - Free also

and you can access your Phone without SSH or installing anything new.

You may have to restore and rejailbreak.

iPhonedisk worked perfect, cydia is backup for me. Thanks

Can I use this program instead of SSHing into my phone? Will it allow me to transfer files to my iPhone?

Same error

I have the sane exact issue and it must be because of elpelle6. Anyway, please help me out with every single step how to delete elpelle6, I am on a Mac if it makes a difference.
