There is no app or settings menu for it, if you have installed it then you are good to go, if you do want to turn it on and ff once you have finished fixing your Cydia error then you can just use SBSettings, alternatively you can just uninstall it when you are down with the guide if you don't plan on SSHing into your phone again

awesome, thanks.

also, i when to rock and it was asking me to change my ssh password for security. what should be done?

i have done everything, i disabled it in rock and cant find the source in cydia since it was never a good repo. i have rebooted and everything, switched from wifi to 3g for hte last 2 days and still everytime i open cydia this happens. it doesnt affect anyting, but still very annoying.

Except wait longer. By the weekend it should be fine. WAIT.

You can change it for security purposes or just leave it, in which case the default password of "apine" will be used, if you do change it then remember to alter the guide accordingly so when you open Cyberduck and have to enter your username and password, make sure the password that you enter is whatever you have changed it to (Assuming you did change it)

Get rid of troublesome Cydia source

Remove Cydia Sources through SSH. Open SSH must be installed on phone.

If you added a source that causes Cydia to crash, this is the thread for you. This will help you remove the buggy source you added.

You will need an ftp/sftp client. [WinSCP for Windows/Cyberduck for Mac]

1. SSH into your iPhone/iPod, hopefully you know how to do that.

2. Go to the root of your iPhone/iPod [/].

3. Navigate to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cydia.list

4. Download the Cydia.list to your computer and open it using any text editor.

5. Delete the source you added. For example, "deb http://www.iphone.org.hk/apt/ ./" if this is the source you want to delete, simply delete that one line. NOT THE WHOLE DOCUMENT. Make sure you save the document as is. We are NOT adding any extensions.

6. Drag the saved document into the sources.list.d folder and replace the file.

7. Re-spring.

ok so i have cyberduck and openssh on my iphone, but not sure where to go now. dont know what you mean by go to the root of iphone. man i am not good at this, but learning!

Have you followed the section of the guide I linked earlier and logged into your phone using Cyberduck? If so then you should be seeing a list of folders and a drop down box near the top of the Cyberduck window which will be displaying something like "Private/Var/Root" you want to click this and you will see a bunch of other choices (Locations), now you want to choose just the plain / (Forward slash) option at the bottom of the drop down box, you will then be in the root of your phone

awesome!!!! i did it!

what else can you do with ssh? and what is the security risk with ssh?

I had this exact same error with that exact same repo, I followed this guide to fix it and haven't seen that error since so it does work LINK

The link in your fix worked perfectly! Thanks for the great tip.

To those who say "just wait it'll fix itself" you're wrong... if you don't know an answer, don't post just to post!

No problem, glad that it worked for you :)

I had the exact same error message and followed these steps and error is now gone. Definitely works.

As the mobile phone network limit, you can not access the cyida source,A feasible method is using ispirit to finish install deb from pc.:D
