Jobs introduced iTunes 4.9

From the All Things Digitial Conference, hosted by The Wall Street Jounral, Steve Job previewed iTunes 4.9 which is due out within 60 days. It will include podcasting subscription services and an editorially managed storefront (or help organize and rate feeds). Looks like a nice addition to the product.

Interesting. Let's hope it cleans up the many inconsistencies introduced in 4.8 and brings VBR AAC to the table as well.

Podcasting subscriptions would be very interesting to see in the next iTunes.
