I would suggest you that instead of going with Nikon D60 go with a better one Nikon D7000 which nikon released this year, it performs much better and produced excellent result. It has 100% view finder! Big bright with 100% coverage. This camera is Smaller and lighter than D300, D700, D3s, D3x. 1/8000th - Very useful for shooting into the sun wide open with a bright lens. And this camera has Excellent battery life, the D7000 can shoot 6 shots per second.

The question is between the Canon 60D and the Nikon D7000.

I agree with luminosity that a more like-to-like comparison might be between the Canon 7D and the Nikon D7000. Just on a practical note, it looks as though the D60 doesn't have as many direct access buttons. Depends how fond you are of diving into the menus.

Agreed, I would trust DxO sensor rating a lot more ... Here is a DxO sensor comparison between Canon 60D, Nikon D7000 and Pentax K-5.
You be the judge of which sensor ranks higher when it comes to high iso or dynamic range ...

I'd not seen that site before - thanks for posting. Some interesting side by sides, backed with good data, that cast previous bias into question.
