I would be embarrassed if I were seen with a phone that had big bezels like the Xr
OMFG, my sides![]()
I'd be embarrassed to be seen in that hat.
ehh it looks decent. There is LOTS of issues around the edges of the flower. Too much blur going on too you could tone it down and see if it helps. When I see edges look really bad it ruins the picture for me unless I just not focus my eyes on details. You need to have enough bezel to hide the LED backlighting

The portrait software in the MAX works on more than just faces:

Isn't that an X, Xs and Xs Max?

I’m reasonably sure it’s a joke because look at the brim on his hat, assuming that’s his picture. People who rock sombreros are usually pretty chilled out. Can’t tell if serious. Sarcasm is hard to read via text only. Hoping this is a joke
Slap a case on the X series and you have your extra few mm buffer of bezel.I'm not sure why this isn't brought up more often, but I personally find any phone with thicker bezels more practical.
When I used the X, especially one-handed, I often found myself readjusting my grip to avoid accidental touches of other parts of the screen, which happened frequently. I got fed up with it.
When I went back to the iPhone 8, I once again appreciated bezels. Sure, it may not look as sleek or modern, but it's practical. I guess the word "practical" isn't part of Apple's narrative anymore. The fact that the iPhone XR has thicker bezels is a big selling point for me. It will be more practical than XS in everyday use. I just don't understand the recent hype with bezel-less screens. Some things just don't work well in practice.
